🦸‍♀️ Super Sue to the rescue! 💛

As part of Food Allergy Awareness Week, Sue, our Health and Community Liason Officer, visited the Einstein Room to teach us all about allergies and keeping our friends safe.

The children learned about allergens, why we should never share food, who our safe adults are, and what to do if someone feels unwell. We even practised making “fish lips” while learning about allergic reactions! 🐟👄

Thank you, Super Sue, for such a fun and educational visit 🌟

🌟 Brighter Beginnings Health & Development Checks at Little Achievers! 🌟

We are excited to welcome the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District team into our service as they conduct the Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks for our preschool children.

These checks give health and development professionals the opportunity to observe and assess key areas of each child’s growth, including:

- Height, weight, and oral health
- Listening and talking skills
- Social skills and behaviour
- Gross and fine motor development
- Thinking and problem‑solving skills

This is a wonderful opportunity for our 4‑year‑old children to receive early support and guidance as they prepare for their transition to school. Early identification and early intervention make a world of difference, and we’re proud to partner with SESLHD to ensure every child has the strongest start possible.

We look forward to supporting our families through this important milestone 🌱✨

Fresh into 2026 and we are back on with our Park Initiative! 🌲🌳

The Georges River Council has now released their survey for families to have their say! So here is where we need your help!!!

Please follow the link and get as many people as you can find to complete the survey!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!

Simply sroll down to 'Mark your park' and drop a pin on the Pole Depot! 📌📍

Whether it’s a holiday, pop in with families that we met nine years ago, yet haven’t seen in five years.
Or the families that we welcomed into our family years ago, and now have the pleasure of welcoming in their littlest siblings; we love it all!!

The connections that we form with our families are lifelong, and everyone knows we welcome everyone with open arms.

These recent visits have brought sunshine to our day and created true feelings that our little LAK community lies at the heart of what it means to be genuinely family orientated.

At our service, protecting the privacy and confidentiality of children and families is a top priority. Each year, we securely dispose of personal information collected during enrolment, along with documentation created through the previous years. Early Education and Care services are required to keep certain compliance documents for a number of years, however, are able to dispose of this information after the Record Keeping compliance regulations have expired.

To ensure compliance with regulations and uphold best practice, we partner with Total Shredding, a mobile shredding service that destroys records onsite. This transparent process guarantees that sensitive information is handled responsibly, giving families peace of mind that their trust is safeguarded.

If you do not yet know about our wonderful ‘Men’s Shed’ in Mortdale, we suggest you have a sticky beak at what they do and how they give back to our local Community.

We are so grateful for the work they have done to build LAK our own very special park bench.
This park bench is the newest feature in our Community Garden and we LOVE IT!!!

A huge shout out and thank you to all of the Men that worked tirelessly to build this for us 😉

This week our Einsteins headed off to Mortdale Public School for their annual visit to the School.

This time of year is an exciting time for our children who are preparing to transition in the New Year, and spending time at Mortdale Public school not only gives our children first-hand experience at exploring all the wonders of a new environment, however sets them up with brilliant exposure to build their independence and confidence with so many aspects of their next journey.

Little Achievers has now been visiting Mortdale Public School for over 10 years, and we could not be more greatful with the partnership we have with some of the most amazing teachers.

A very big thank you for having us 😉
