Exploring what’s next in health

Our students recently took part in the RHIP Health Careers Event, connecting with health professionals and education providers to learn more about the wide range of career pathways available in the health sector.
A great opportunity to ask questions, hear real-world experiences and get a glimpse into where a future in health could lead.

A group of Year 10 students took on their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh expedition in the Grose Valley, navigating the Blue Mountains and putting their outdoor skills into practice. 🥾

Year 12 Biology

Our students got hands on with kidney and eye dissections, exploring anatomy and seeing how biological structures connect to what they’ve learned in class.

Last Tuesday and Wednesday, our Under 14s and Under 16s Girls travelled to Windsor to compete in the State Futsal Championships. The tournament brought together some of the best teams from across NSW, with the girls facing the top sides from this year’s regional futsal competitions.
Both teams performed exceptionally well, successfully progressing through the group stages and battling their way into the quarter finals.
The Under 14s may have the opportunity to receive a wildcard position at the National Championships following their outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
This is another incredible achievement for our girls, adding to what has already been a remarkable year across all football competitions, from our Open Girls team through to our Under 14s.
A huge congratulations to all the girls involved. What an amazing year of football and futsal it has been so far!

Last week, Randwick High students and teachers participated in our inaugural Book Week! One of our events included creating a ‘Blind Book Box’ - students chose their favourite texts, wrapped them up, and wrote clues about their contents to inspire other readers to share in their passion for literature. Head to the library over the next week to borrow a book and get involved with the fun! 📚

Thank you to all of the staff who came, and to everyone who dressed up as part of our celebrations. We would like to extend a massive thank you to Ms Carle who has worked tirelessly to put on this enriching event for our students! 📖

Languages at Randwick 🎬

A behind the scenes look at filming with the NSW Department of Education, capturing content about Languages in NSW schools.

The Department visited Randwick High School to film content that will be shared with schools across NSW — and we were excited to have our Languages program featured.

At Randwick, Languages are strong, diverse and thriving, with Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, French, Spanish and Greek on offer. With a wide choice of languages and strong participation across the school, students have opportunities to build their communication skills, connect with other cultures and continue their language learning into the senior years.

There’s a lot happening in Languages at Randwick — and we’re proud to be part of it.

Celebrating Science Week at Randwick 🔬

Last week, we celebrated Science Week by welcoming six fantastic Randwick alumni back to school to meet with our Year 11 Science students.

Our alumni shared their experiences of university, careers and life beyond school, giving students a genuine insight into the many pathways that science can open up.
A huge thank you to Reem Elnour, Alena Cheng, Amr Odeh, Nicole Hidajat, Veronica Padilla and Shang Yu Shueh for returning to Randwick and sharing their stories.
With each alumni journey being different, these conversations showed our students that there is no single pathway into a career in science — and that their own interests, choices and curiosity can take them in many different directions.

It was a great opportunity for our students to learn from those who once sat in the same classrooms.
