Playing with a child without distractions is important for their brain development.

'Moments spent in play are a luxury and are only present when the relational needs of a child are being met. These times are critical for brain development as it is when children form neural networks that are involved in later problem solving and creativity..... Play is not empty time; it is how children build the brains that are required for work and learning.'— Dr. Deborah MacNamara

We had a fantastic visit by the fire fighters from Hurstville Fire Brigade. We learnt about how to stay safe in the event of an emergency at home, and the role of fire fighters in saving people and animals.

We got an extra surprise when they showed us how the fire and rescue truck works, and the flood lights going up were amazing! Thanks Erin and Darren for taking the time to share your knowledge, and to answer children’s questions
