The Australian Heritage Council is assessing Elizabeth Farm, Experiment Farm and Hambledon Cottage for possible inclusion in the National Heritage List.
The National Trust (NSW) notes that this precinct includes Australia's oldest building, the first land grant and some of the oldest garden plantings in Australia. It is a place of outstanding significance to the nation.
