The heritage jewel of New England, Saumarez Homestead reopens this week, from Wednesday 2 September.

Book a tour of the Edwardian mansion and explore the picturesque grounds, featuring formal gardens, historic farm buildings and spectacular country vistas.

Historic Cooma Cottage reopens Sunday 6 September, just in time for Father’s Day.

Located on Ngunnawal Country in Yass, NSW, this rural treasure is the home of Australian-born explorer, Hamilton Hume, who reportedly fell in love with the area during his explorations and set about creating a retreat with his wife, Elizabeth.

Visitors can walk through Hume’s original house and soak up the stories of pioneering life in the nineteenth century. Pack a picnic and relax in the cottage gardens for sweeping views of paddocks and the Yass Valley.

Tickets are now on sale for a fascinating program of talks and workshops at the upcoming Regency Promenade & Fair. Explore topics ranging from Regency fashion and natural history to influential women of the colonial era and the remarkable convict servants of Old Government House.

Thank you to the Veteran Car Club of Australia - NSW for these fantastic shots from the 2026 Winter Tour around the Scone district.

The National Trust (NSW) is proud to support events, exhibitions, education, restoration, and research relating to pre-1931 vintage and veteran vehicles annually via the Paul William Butler Bequest.

It’s International Dog Day! 🐾

To celebrate, the much-loved Dogs Day Out returns to Norman Lindsay Gallery on Saturday.

Meet some very special guests, including Border Collie Groot - the koala s**t detection superstar who has been making headlines for his incredible contribution to important conservation efforts, the gentle Nepean Therapy Dogs and gorgeous greyhounds looking for their forever homes.

There will be paw painting, training displays, talks from The Doggy Pod's Dr Rob Zammit, competitions, stalls, and plenty of fun for the whole family 🐕💛
