👩🍳✨ Cooking with children is learning in disguise! ✨👨🍳
When children cook, they’re not just making food — they’re building skills for life!
From mixing and pouring to counting ingredients and following simple steps, cooking supports early learning in such a natural and fun way. It’s messy, hands-on, and full of meaningful learning moments.
🍓 Did you know? Cooking supports the EYLF in so many ways:
✔️ Confidence & independence (Outcome 1)
✔️ Belonging and connection through shared experiences (Outcome 2)
✔️ Healthy habits and wellbeing (Outcome 3)
✔️ Curiosity, problem-solving & early maths skills (Outcome 4)
✔️ Communication and language development (Outcome 5)
Best of all, it builds beautiful memories and gives children real pride in what they’ve created 💛
Simple ideas like fruit salad, sandwiches, or baking together can turn everyday moments into powerful learning experiences.
What’s your child’s favourite thing to make in the kitchen? 🍌🍓🍞
