Merry Christmas from the Sydney Zoo Education Team!

It’s hard to believe that this weekend is Sydney Zoo’s 6th birthday!

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️It has been 6.5 years since we reached out to teachers and schools asking what they would like to see available for students from a new zoo. The Education Team have loved every minute creating hand in hand with schools, teachers and principals and delivering relevant, engaging syllabus aligned programs for all stages. We’re so grateful to be able to support schools and for the support we get from our community

Our 4th and final intensive day of this year’s Embrace the Wild youth leadership program at the zoo was all about Quoll conservation! 🐾
Today we’ve explored what caused Eastern Quolls to becoming locally extinct, the zoo’s breed-to-release program and how we can make an impact by acting locally, and becoming true heroes for habitat.
