🌟💗 HAPPY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS’ DAY! 💗🌟

Today we celebrate the incredible educators who bring so much care, kindness, patience and passion to Red Robin Kindergarten every single day. 🌈✨

Our educators do so much more than teach. They nurture little minds, encourage curiosity, wipe away tears, celebrate achievements, inspire confidence, create magical learning moments and make Kindy feel like a second home. 🥰

To our wonderful Red Robin team — Miss Linda, Miss Holly, Miss Trina, Miss Ping, Miss Parvin, Miss Kylie and Miss Angela — THANK YOU! ❤️

Thank you for the love you give, the relationships you build and the difference you make in the lives of our children and families. We are so lucky to have such a caring and dedicated team.

Today is all about celebrating YOU! 🌻💕

✨ Little people, big impact… made possible by amazing educators. ✨

📚✨ BOOK WEEK✨📚

What a wonderful week we had celebrating the magic of books, stories and imagination! 🌈📖

Throughout Book Week, our children enjoyed sharing some of their favourite stories, dressing up as much-loved book characters and taking part in lots of fun experiences inspired by the books we read together. From colourful crafts and creative storytelling to conversations about authors and characters, there was something exciting to discover each day! 🎨🦉🐟🐻

Book Week is about so much more than reading. Sharing stories with children helps to build language and literacy skills, imagination, creativity, communication and a lifelong love of books. It also gives us wonderful opportunities to connect, laugh, wonder and learn together. 💛

A huge thank you to all our families for getting involved and helping with the fabulous costumes — we absolutely loved seeing everyone’s creativity!

📚 A book can take you anywhere… and this Book Week, our imaginations certainly did!

📚We’ve given our book corner a little reset and refresh just in time for Book Week! With cosy spaces to sit, a wonderful selection of new stories and plenty of opportunities to spark imagination, we’re ready to celebrate the magic of books together.

Reading with children is about so much more than just words on a page. Stories help to:
📖 Build language and vocabulary
💭 Encourage imagination and creativity
❤️ Develop empathy and emotional understanding
🧠 Strengthen memory, concentration and listening skills
🤝 Create opportunities for connection and meaningful conversations

We can’t wait to see where our stories take us this Book Week as we explore new adventures, meet interesting characters and inspire a lifelong love of reading.

What’s your child’s favourite book at the moment? We’d love to hear your recommendations! 💛📚

✨ Play doesn’t have to be complicated… sometimes the simplest invitations create the biggest adventures! ✨

With just a few loose parts and everyday items you can find around the home, you can create an inviting play provocation that sparks your child’s curiosity, creativity and imagination.

Think bowls, spoons, mini frying pans, bottle lids, pegs, fabric scraps, wooden blocks, natural treasures from the garden or even an old muffin tray. There are no rules—just endless opportunities for children to explore, create, problem-solve and discover through play.

When we step back and allow children to lead their own learning, we’re supporting their confidence, independence, communication and critical thinking skills in meaningful ways.

💛 You don’t need expensive toys to create rich learning experiences.
💛 A little imagination goes a long way.
💛 Play is how children make sense of the world around them.

What everyday items does your little one love to play with? We’d love to hear your ideas in the comments! 🌿✨

👩‍🍳🥐 Little Chefs in the Kitchen! 🥐👨‍🍳

The Dolphins rolled up their sleeves and became little chefs today as we made our very own sausage rolls! 😋

After showing lots of interest in cooking and food, today we turned our ideas into a delicious hands-on experience. We explored the ingredients, mixed the filling, worked with the puff pastry and helped create our sausage rolls ready for the oven. 🥩🥚🌿

Cooking together is such a wonderful way to build independence, practise fine motor skills, follow a sequence and learn about where our food comes from — all while having lots of fun! ❤️

And of course, the best part was getting to taste our delicious creations! YUM!

🐍 Happy World Snake Day! 🐍

What an exciting day at Red Robin Kindergarten! Today we welcomed Kym the Reptile Man for a hands-on reptile adventure to celebrate World Snake Day.

Our children had the incredible opportunity to meet a variety of fascinating reptiles, learn about their habitats, discover why snakes are so important to our environment, and even get up close with some amazing scaly friends! It was wonderful to see so much curiosity, confidence and respect as the children asked thoughtful questions and explored the world of reptiles through real-life experiences.

A huge thank you to Kym The Reptile Man for sharing your knowledge and helping us celebrate this special day in such a fun, engaging and memorable way. What a hiss-terically awesome adventure! 🐍💚

We took a little adventure to the front of the kindy today to watch the big trucks and hardworking crews replacing the power poles in our street! 🚛👷‍♂️⚡

There was so much excitement as we watched the machinery in action, spotted the different tools being used and talked about the important jobs these workers do to help keep our community safe and powered. The children were full of questions and observations, making it a wonderful real-life learning experience.

Sometimes the best learning happens when we simply stop, watch and wonder! 💛

The Penguins and Dolphins were so excited to welcome Messy Makers back to Red Robin Kindergarten! 💛

With NAIDOC Week just around the corner, today’s sensory experiences celebrated First Nations culture through hands-on exploration, creativity and fun messy play. The children immersed themselves in a variety of engaging sensory invitations, discovering different textures, colours and materials while using their imaginations and working together with friends.

Sensory play offers so many valuable learning opportunities. As the children scooped, poured, mixed, explored and created, they were strengthening their fine motor skills, developing language, encouraging problem-solving, building confidence and fostering creativity in a fun and meaningful way.

We love providing experiences that inspire curiosity, imaginations creativity! Thank you to Messy Makers - Ryde North Shore for another incredible incursion filled with smiles, laughter and learning! 🖤
