Last Friday, our school community gathered to celebrate Mary MacKillop Feast Day with a special St Mary of the Cross liturgy.

Together, we reflected on Mary MacKillop's values of faith, kindness, service, and perseverance. Thank you to everyone who attended and shared in this meaningful celebration. ✨

💙 Catholic Care Homelessness Fundraiser Mufti Day 💙

This Friday, 7 August, OLPS will participate in the Catholic Schools Broken Bay Homelessness Fundraiser, supporting CatholicCare services that assist people experiencing homelessness in our local communities.

Students are invited to wear mufti and families are encouraged to make a donation via Qkr! (online donations only).

Families are also warmly invited to join us for a special liturgy at 9:00am, led by the Senior Learning Hub, as we celebrate the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop and reflect on her call to "never see a need without doing something about it."

Together, we can make a meaningful difference. 💙

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ OLPS Athletics Carnival 2026 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

On Friday 31 July, our school community gathered for the final OLPS Athletics Carnival. It was a wonderful day celebrating not only sport, but also the incredible spirit, teamwork and sense of belonging that has made OLPS such a special place for so many years.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Sargent, whose dedication, organisation and commitment ensured another outstanding carnival. We are also so grateful to our parent volunteers for generously giving their time to assist with events, supervise students and help the day run so smoothly.

As our final OLPS Athletics Carnival, the day was a celebration of the strong community that has shaped our school over the years. From displays of determination and sportsmanship on the field to cheers of encouragement from classmates and families, it was a memorable occasion for all.

We finished the day with a whole-school dress-up relay, bringing plenty of laughter, fun and excitement as students and staff participated with great enthusiasm! Thank you to everyone who helped make this final OLPS Athletics Carnival such a special and memorable celebration. 💙💛

🌈 100 Days Brighter and Smarter in Kindy! 🌈

Today we celebrated a very special milestone, 100 days of Kindergarten!

Our youngest learners enjoyed a wonderful day of fun with their Stage 3 buddies, taking part in creative 100-day activities, sharing a picnic in the sunshine, and baking delicious Smartie cookies together. 🍪☀️

Dressed in bright rainbow colours for 100 Days Brighter, our Kindy students proudly celebrated all they have learned and achieved in their first 100 days of school.

Congratulations, Kindy! We are so proud of how much you've grown! ✨

💙 Celebrating Our Grandparents 💙

Last Friday, 24 July, we were delighted to welcome our OLPS grandparents for a very special Grandparents Day celebration.

The morning began with a beautiful liturgy in the church, followed by visits to classrooms where grandparents enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. We then shared a wonderful morning tea together.

Grandparents hold a special place in our hearts and our school community, and we are so grateful for the love, wisdom and support they provide to our students and families. 💛
