Sorry Day is a time when Australia remembers that, a long time ago, some decisions were made by people in power without listening to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities. Many children were taken away from their families, culture, and Country, which caused deep sadness and hurt.
Today, we remember the importance of listening to families, learning from one another, showing kindness, and respecting different ways people live and care for each other. We want all children and families to feel safe, loved, respected, and connected to their culture and community.
Sorry means you don’t do it again.
Today, on National Sorry Day, we acknowledge the Stolen Generations — and the ongoing impact of policies that separated children from family, community and Country.
This is not only about remembering what has happened.
It is about what continues — and what is required of us now.

🌱Plant some seeds, look for bugs or go on a scavenger hunt to celebrate Nature Play Week, which runs from 11 to 22 April. Nature play helps children get active, learn new things and explore using their senses and imagination.

Another wonderful day of community coming together to care for our environment as part of Clean Up Australia Day.
We are so grateful to all the families who showed up and rolled up their sleeves to help tidy Fisher Ghost Reserve. Your time, energy and commitment to caring for our shared spaces truly makes a difference.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, your contribution is so very appreciated!
We also extend our thanks to Campbelltown City Council Bushcare for co-hosting this important event, and to Mayor of Campbelltown Darcy Lound, for rolling up his sleeves and giving us all a hand
Together, we are teaching our children the importance of caring for Country and looking after the place we call home. 💚
