The holidays are a great opportunity to talk with and show your child how to be a safe pedestrian, rider and passenger. This upskiling will support them as their need for independence increases.

Talk to your children about safe places to play and highlight the risks and challenges in different traffic environments.

Is your child starting high school next year?

Are they travelling by public transport or having to walk/cycle further?

Have you discussed this new independence and how to stay safe?

On Friday 28 November we are doing a fundraiser with gold coin donations, where we are inviting students to wear the craziest socks possible. All donations will go towards the 'Celebral Palsy Alliance.' Students will still need to wear full school uniform and enclosed shoes.

🧠 Teen brains are still developing — and social media hits them harder than we think.

From 10 December 2025, Australia will restrict under-16s from using platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and more.

Why? Because social media can impact:
✨ Reward pathways (dopamine hits from likes)
✨ Emotional regulation
✨ Sleep and mental health ✨ Self-esteem and social comparison
The goal: give young minds time to grow offline before facing the pressure of constant online feedback.

⭐️ Class Spotlight -CLARE ⭐️

Clare have been learning about different celebrations across the world, such as Diwali, as part of their history program. Today in art they created their very own diyas- clay lamps, which are traditionally used during Diwali. They developed their fine motor skills, sculpting the clay, adding water when needed. Well done Clare 😄
