Hello Australia
Title: The Starlight Traveller
In a village nestled at the foot of a mountain, there lived a young dreamer named Milo. Milo was known throughout the village for his boundless imagination and insatiable curiosity. Every night, he would gaze up at the stars and wonder about the worlds beyond.
One evening, as Milo was lying on the grass, his eyes fixed on the night sky, a shooting star streaked across the darkness. With a heart full of wonder, he made a wish: to explore the stars themselves.
To his surprise, a soft voice whispered from the shadows. "If you wish to journey among the stars, you must first find the Starlight Crystal," it said. Milo turned and saw a figure cloaked in stardust, a Starlight Guide.
Determined and excited, Milo set out on a journey that would take him through dense forests, across sparkling rivers, and over towering mountains. Along the way, he met characters like Luna, a talking fox who knew the secrets of the forest, and Orion, a wise old astronomer who shared stories of constellations.
Milo's travels brought him to the edge of the world, where the Starlight Guide awaited him. The guide, a being of shimmering light, explained that the Starlight Crystal was hidden at the heart of a labyrinth made of dreams. Only a true dreamer could navigate it.
With courage and an open heart, Milo entered the labyrinth. He faced challenges that tested his determination and imagination. He encountered swirling mists that showed glimpses of distant galaxies and puzzles that required him to think creatively. With each challenge, Milo grew wiser and more in tune with the magic of dreams.
After what felt like both moments and eternities, Milo finally reached the center of the labyrinth. There, he found the Starlight Crystal, a gem that shone with the brilliance of a thousand stars. As he held it in his hand, he felt a surge of energy and a connection to the cosmos.
The Starlight Guide appeared once again, congratulating Milo for his bravery and wisdom. With the Crystal's power, Milo could now travel among the stars. He bid farewell to the guide and, clutching the Crystal, soared into the sky.
Milo's body transformed into stardust, and he became a part of the constellations he had admired for so long. He traveled from one star to another, exploring galaxies and meeting celestial beings. With every journey, he learned new stories and shared his own.
Back in the village, Milo's family and friends noticed that the stars seemed to shine a bit brighter. They felt his presence in the gentle breeze that rustled the leaves and in the twinkle of a distant star.
And so, Milo became the Starlight Traveller, a legend whispered by villagers on clear nights. His story inspired generations to dream big, explore the unknown, and remember that the universe is vast and full of wonders.
Speaking test, Part 1 (Interview) questions
1. Do you work or study?
Well, I completed my studies a few years ago, and I've been working in the bakery industry ever since.
2. What kind of job do you have?
I work as a cake decorator at a large bakery. We decorate cakes for special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries, various parties or even weddings. We use different frostings, fruit and berries to create unique designs and make sure no two cakes are ever the same.
3. What do you like about your job?
The best thing about my job is that I can be creative. It requires me to come up with new ideas every day, so I never get bored. I also enjoy working with my team, we've all grown close over the last couple of years and some of my colleagues became my best friends.
4. How many hours do you work?
About 40 hours a week, but sometimes I put in more hours if we have a particularly large order or a wedding, because wedding cakes are massive. They can have 3 or 4 tiers and can take a couple of days to make.
5. What do you think can be done to make you happy on the job?
Well, I'm already pretty content at my job. I guess the only thing that would make me happier is if we didn't have to start that early. Some of my shifts start at 7am, which means I have to leave home at 6:30 in the morning, but after a busy weekend I really need my sleep!
6. Do you sometimes make time to meet with your friends?
We all live quite close to each other, and like I said before, some of us work together so we see each other basically every day. Apart from that, we try to make plans to meet at least once or twice a week, especially on the weekends.
7. What do you do when you get together with your friends?
It depends on our mood and our levels of exhaustion. Sometimes we plan trips to new and exciting places, and other times we might just all get together at home to watch a movie and order some pizzas.
8. Why are your friends important to you?
I think my friends have become my second family! We've all basically grown up together and shared a lot of experiences growing up, helped each other through hardships of adult life and also had many happy moments.

PLANNING CHANGE OVER TIME
Usually with tasks that have multiple time periods (change over time tasks) you want to focus on beginning numbers, peaks and low points, categories that overtake another category, and ending numbers. The key data is shown in the line chart below to illustrate this.
1. In 1979 about 220 grams of beef were sold.
2. The purchasing of beef peaked at less than 250 grams in 1984.
3. In 2004, beef consumption fell to around 120 grams.
4. At the beginning of the period lamb sales stood at 150 grams.
5. The amount of lamb sold reached a low point of 50 grams in 1999.
6. At the end of the period lamb sales were approximately 60 grams.
7. Chicken sales started off at 100 grams.
8. Sales of chicken increased rapidly, and around 1985 they rose to over 130 grams overtaking the sales of lamb.
9. By the end of the period chicken sales had fallen to their lowest point at about 25 grams.
