Useful Spanish Grammar for Beginners Spanish students
Today: Hacer - Verbo
Hacer" can be used in various contexts, both for making physical objects and for performing actions.
Since it is irregular, remember that the first-person singular form is "hago" and not "haco."
The rest of the conjugations follow the typical endings for -er verbs but with a stem change for the first person.
Examples of "hacer" in present tense:
1. Yo hago la tarea todos los días.
* I do the homework every day.
2. Tú haces ejercicio por la mañana.
* You exercise in the morning.
3. Él hace una pregunta en clase.
* He asks a question in class.
4. Nosotros hacemos una fiesta el sábado.
* We are having a party on Saturday.
5. Vosotros hacéis un buen trabajo. (Used primarily in Spain)
* You all do a good job.
6. Ellos hacen mucho ruido.
* They make a lot of noise.
