Today, the preschool children enthusiastically participated in a fish craft experience. Exploring the Letter A in the Preschool Room βοΈπ€
Today, the children explored the letter A as part of their school readiness program in the preschool room. Educator Sujana introduced the letter and engaged the children in discussions about words and objects that begin with the letter A, such as apple, alligator, and ant. The children eagerly shared their own ideas and examples, demonstrating their growing phonological awareness.
The children were encouraged to practise free-hand writing the letter A, carefully forming the lines and recognising its shape. Through this experience, they developed their early literacy skills, letter recognition, and understanding of letter-sound relationships. The activity also supported fine motor development, pencil control, hand-eye coordination, and concentration.
This learning experience strengthened the children's confidence as emerging writers and supported their preparation for school by building foundational literacy skills in a fun and engaging way.
At Brilliant Kidz Academy, the children have been highly engaged in exploring winter-themed craft experiences through a variety of sensory and painting activities. The children used different materials, colours, and textures to create winter artworks, expressing their creativity and imagination while exploring seasonal concepts.

Today in the morning, the children engaged in a yoga experience. During this experience, the children explored a range of yoga poses, practised balancing and stretching their bodies, and participated in mindful breathing exercises. The children demonstrated enthusiasm and concentration as they followed the movements, developing their gross motor skills, body awareness, coordination, and self-regulation skills. Many children showed confidence in attempting different poses and enjoyed sharing the experience with their peers in a calm and positive environment.
Today the preschool children participated in an ocean painting experience using different shades of blue paint, sponges, paint brushes, and sea creature resources.
During the experience, we engaged in meaningful conversations about the ocean, the colours of the sea, and various sea creatures such as fish, turtles, and starfish. The children demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm as they shared their knowledge and ideas about marine life.
The children explored different painting techniques by dabbing, brushing, and blending paint across the paper to create ocean textures and waves. This hands-on experience supported the development of their fine motor skills, creativity, and sensory exploration. It also encouraged communication, imagination, and an appreciation for the natural environment as the children expressed their understanding of the ocean through art.

Nature Weaving Experience
Today, the children engaged in a nature weaving experience. They began by exploring the outdoor environment and collecting natural materials that interested them, such as leaves, sticks, flowers, grass, and small seed pods. The children carefully selected items based on their own preferences and curiosities, demonstrating independence and decision-making skills.
Using cardboard frames with strings attached, the children threaded and wove their collected materials through the strings to create unique artworks. Throughout the experience, they experimented with different textures, shapes, and colours while developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration.
The activity encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and an appreciation for the natural environment. As they shared their discoveries and weaving designs with peers, the children engaged in meaningful conversations, building communication skills and fostering a sense of connection with nature.
