A heartfelt thank you to the community groups, council representatives and everyone who attended and supported La Perouse Public School on Friday. Your presence, care and support meant so much to our students, and to our parents and carers.

On behalf of the La Perouse Public School P&C, we want to extend our deepest and most sincere thanks to our incredible staff for their tireless efforts this week.

In the wake of such a tragic and difficult event, the compassion, care and professionalism shown to our children and the wider school community has been nothing short of extraordinary. You have created a space of safety, calm and reassurance when it was needed most, supporting not only our students, but also families and one another.

Now it is time to look after yourselves. Please take the time you need to rest, reflect and lean on your support networks. Your wellbeing matters deeply to our community too.

Thank you for holding our community together, for being a steady presence, and for all that you continue to do, often quietly and without recognition. Please know how deeply grateful we are.

We are delighted that La Perouse Public School P&C was recognised by Dylan Parker - Mayor of Randwick and Randwick City Council on Monday for the contribution we make to our community.

This award acknowledges the heart and hard work our P&C puts into the community through events such as our annual Christmas In July Market and our incredible Galu Dancers and Drummers.

It was an honour to stand among so many inspiring individuals and organisations who are making a real difference in our area.

A huge thank you to Randwick Council for the Community Connect and Community Creative grants received, which help us create special opportunities for our school, our talented students, and our community.

✨ Exactly one week ago, the Galu Dancers and the La Perouse Public School Drumming Group brought the house down at our showcase ✨

The Galu Dancers delivered a performance full of energy, strength, and teamwork – absolutely unforgettable. And the Drumming Group? They were pure joy to watch, setting the beat and lifting the whole crowd with their fun and infectious rhythm.

A special mention to Ms Rogers, Miss Rachel, and the La Perouse teaching staff who continue to showcase the incredible talents of La Perouse students and bring out the very best in them every time.

La Perouse Public School is doing amazing things, and last week’s showcase was proof of the outstanding talent, commitment, and spirit shining through their students.

We would Also like to congratulate Stella Ingrey and Isla Ryan on being very professional and engaging hosts- we are so proud of you.
