✨🏑 CHS Statewide Hockey Knockout 🏑✨

A big congratulations to both of our Open Hockey Teams.

Our Open Girls Hockey Team, who travelled to Goulburn, gave it their all against Mulwaree HS. While Mulwaree took the win, the girls should be proud of their effort and determination! 👏

Our Open Boys Hockey Team travelled to Newcastle for Round 2, putting up a strong fight against Farrer Memorial Agricultural HS before going down 6–2. A special farewell to our captain Aaron F and teammate Leo B, who have both been valued members of the team for many years 🔥🏑

🏀 U15s Sydney West Basketball Gala Day! 🏀

A huge congratulations to our U15 Boys Basketball Team! 👏🔥 After winning all of their knockout games to earn their place at the Sydney West Gala Day, the boys stepped up and competed against the Top 8 schools across Sydney West. With the majority of the team on Year 9 Camp, the boys had to adapt to a new team and still showed up and represented The Farms extremely well.

Last Monday, members of the Model Farms Z Club and Leadership Team joined representatives from the Sydney Hills Zonta Club to assemble birthing kits. Working alongside volunteers, our students contributed to an important initiative supporting safer childbirth practices and helping mothers and babies get a healthier start to life. 🌏✨ A wonderful example of our students putting service and leadership into action! 👏

Our annual Trivia Night is fast approaching on Saturday 29 August, and we’re excited to welcome families and friends for an evening of fun and community spirit.

🎭 What a fantastic celebration of the performing arts at the Hills Performing Arts Festival! 🌟 Our Dance Ensemble, Junior Elites, Musical Theatre Ensemble and Year 10 Dance students all took to the stage, showcasing their talent alongside performers from local schools. A special thank you to Paige and Theo for emceeing the event and helping bring our local performing arts community together. 👏 We also loved seeing Cooper and Peter gain valuable industry experience, joining the Sound and Lighting Team and Stage Crew. 🎧🎬

🏐 The annual School of Origin is back, with teachers and students battling it out for the shield! 🏆Game 1 saw the teachers take on the students in volleyball. After initially trailing by 4 points, the students fought back to take the win! 🔥👏 Game 2 is happening next week! Can the teachers even out the score?

🎭🎨🎶 Year 12 Practical Works & Exams 🎶🎨🎭
Huge congratulations to all our Year 12 students who have completed their practical works and exams over the past two weeks! 👏 From Dance, Drama, and Industrial Technology Timber, our students have demonstrated incredible creativity, skill, dedication, and commitment. We are so proud of the effort they have put into their performances, projects, and practical components. The images showcase the incredible Major Projects created by our Industrial Technology Timber students.🌟
Next week, we look forward to celebrating our Art and Music students through the CAPA Exhibition Night and wish them luck as they complete their practical components in the coming weeks.

SALSA Youth Voices Day 🌟Our Students as Lifestyle Activists group had a fantastic day at the Giants VALO Centre, connecting with students from across Western Sydney and developing their SALSA Action Plans to promote healthy eating and physical activity. Students were lucky enough to meet a couple of Giants players throughout the day as they trained at the facility.
The students represented Model Farms exceptionally well, presenting an idea to increase physical activity participation during Year 7 Sport. 💪👏

🏐 Congratulations to our U15s Girls Netball Knockout team, who secured a fantastic Round 2 win against Richmond HS in the Sydney West competition! The team has now earned their spot at the Sydney West Gala Day! 👏 Well done, girls, and good luck for the Gala Day! 💪🏐
A great start to the CHS Knockout Competition, with our Open Boys Hockey team coming away with a 5–1 win against Epping Boys High School in Round 1! 🏑🔥The team will now travel to Newcastle for Round 2. Great job, boys, and good luck for the next round! 💪
