Congratulations...
At the 2018 Honours & Masters-by-Research Student Presentation Evening, organised by the RACI NSW Analytical and Environmental Chemistry Group, Merryn Baker won first prize ($500), while Jordan Mastellone won third prize ($100) for their research presentations.
Students from NSW universities presented the research projects that they had been working on since the beginning of 2018, and the winners were selected by a panel of judges from industry and academia.
Honours student, Merryn’s talk was entitled: "Preconcentration of Volatile Organic Cancer Biomarkers using Metal Organic Frameworks for High-Performance Analysis by Mass Spectrometry."
Masters student, Jordan’s talk was entitled: "Separation of Disaccharide Isomers by Differential Ion Mobility Spectrometry Mass Spectrometry."
Both winners are students from Alex Donald’s research group.
Shimadzu sponsored the student prizes and the annual event, which was held this year at the University of Technology Sydney.
