HSC MUSIC SUCCESS - ENCORE NOMINATION
Congratulations to our talented HSC Music student, Evie Mulligan, who was nominated for possible inclusion in the NESA HSC exemplar showcase for Music, ENCORE, held at the Sydney Opera House on Monday, 22 February 2027. Evie is an exceptional vocalist and was nominated for the Performance component of her HSC Music 1 program. Receiving a nomination for ENCORE is an incredible accomplishment and we wish Evie every success as she prepares her application video in the next step of the nomination process. We are very proud of her achievement.

🏆 TEACHERS vs YEAR 12 SPORT CUP! 🏆

What a way to celebrate our Year 12 students! 🎉 The Teachers took on Year 12 in three action-packed events — Volleyball, Soccer and Netball.
And the final result… TEACHERS WIN ALL THREE! 🏆🏆🏆

There was plenty of skill, determination, teamwork and a whole lot of friendly competition on display! 👏

Congratulations to our Year 12 students for putting up a great fight and well done to our teachers for securing the 3 – 0 clean sweep! 😄🔥

NSW CHS ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

A huge congratulations to all of our students who represented our school at the NSW CHS Athletics Championships. Your dedication, hard work and commitment to your events have been fantastic to see.

- Jessica Basanovic (Yr 12) winning GOLD in the 400m and SILVER in 4 x 400m relay
- Jack Gleeson (Yr 12) winning SILVER in shot putt and 9th in Discus
- Will Mulcair (Yr 8 ) achieving 14th in Long Jump
- Zoe Zantiotis (Yr 8 ) achieving 11th place in the 1500m race walk final.

LEADERSHIP LESSONS FROM A CRICKET LEGEND

Students had the opportunity to hear from Australian cricket legend Adam Gilchrist AM at an exclusive UOW event. The session explored leadership, resilience and success, with students gaining valuable insights through a Q&A and meeting Adam.

YEAR 10 FORMAL ASSEMBLY

We recently held the Year 10 Formal Assembly! We’re incredibly grateful to our student volunteers who spoke and MC’d the event, and to our fabulous musicians: singer Megan, Jacob on guitar and the band “In Que” (Bianca, Megan, Charlotte and Kayla) for their fantastic performances. Congratulations to our 17 recipients of Succeeding Certificates — what an achievement!

YEAR 8 FORMAL ASSEMBLY

Our Year 8 Formal Assembly was a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our students. A total of 74 Succeeding Awards were presented, acknowledging the commitment, effort and accomplishments of our students.

The assembly also featured a catchy piano rendition of Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' - performed by our very talented Elijah P.
Students also heard inspiring messages from our SRC Representatives, Year Advisers and Deputy Principal, who emphasised the importance of kindness, striving for personal excellence, and always achieving your best.
Congratulations to all students who received an award, and thank you to everyone who contributed to making the assembly a meaningful celebration of Year 8.
