🖤💛❤️ NAIDOC Week 2025 at Little Ark Preschool, Honouring Culture Through Connection and Taste 🖤💛❤️
At Little Ark Preschool, we proudly recognise and celebrate NAIDOC Week 2025 a time to honour the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we learn and play.
As part of our celebrations, Mrs Margot and the children engaged in a hands-on cultural experience, baking traditional damper using Aboriginal native herbs, including saltbush. This experience was not only sensory and delicious but also deeply meaningful, providing children with the opportunity to explore and respect the foods, knowledge, and traditions passed down through generations.
We thank the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to Elders past and present. May we continue to walk together in unity, respect, and shared learning.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the parents and guest speakers who joined us for our Transitions to School Information Evening. Your presence and engagement made the night both meaningful and memorable.
A special thank you to Sharon Hunt, Debra Galofaro from St Columba’s, and Catherine Penrose from Nash Speech Therapy for generously sharing your knowledge, insights, and experience. Your contributions were truly inspiring and deeply appreciated by all.
We are also incredibly grateful to our dedicated Educational Leaders, Margot and Mellissa, whose ongoing passion, commitment, and care continue to guide and support our children and families with heart and purpose. Your efforts behind the scenes and on the floor do not go unnoticed.
Thank you once again to everyone who played a part in making this evening such a success.

Creative Minds in Action at Little Ark Preschool! 🎨🤖
Our preschoolers recently delved into the exciting world of 3D art, crafting imaginative robots from foil, straws, and other recycled materials. This hands-on experience sparked creativity while fostering essential skills for lifelong learning:
✨ Fine Motor Development: Manipulating materials like foil and straws enhanced hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
✨ Creative Expression: Bringing their ideas to life encouraged innovation, imagination, and problem-solving.
✨ Collaboration & Communication: Working together on their robots promoted teamwork, sharing, and effective communication.
✨ Critical Thinking: Designing and assembling their creations required planning, decision-making, and perseverance.
At Little Ark Preschool, we embrace every child’s unique potential, encouraging them to explore, experiment, and express themselves freely.
Stay tuned for more of their inspiring creations!✨

🎨 At Little Ark Preschool, creativity is at the heart of everything we do! This Tuesday, our children were hard at work creating one of a kind sculptures using string yarn, glue, and plastic cups. While sharing stories and forming new friendships, the children extended on their imagination, hand-eye coordination, patience, and communication skills all through fun, hands-on learning experiences.
These sensory projects are a wonderful way for our children to strengthen their fine motor skills, develop spatial awareness, and explore new textures. “It feels slimy and cold” to “My hands feel so sticky,” Helping them express emotions and grow socially and emotionally . 🖌️💫
