A great day for a Queensland workshop…. First workshop held at Dogs Queenslands grounds.

Also a few students finishing their last practical assessments so congratulations to them on finishing your qualifications

This is what educating is about passing on knowledge to the next generation and helping them make their first steps into industry

Born to Change Lives Giving Day 2026 - People, Paws & Purpose 11/05/2026

At The Pet Industry College (RTO 70236), we are proud to continue our long-standing support of Assistance Dogs Australia and the incredible work they do changing lives through the human–canine bond. 🐾💙

On 14th May, we encourage our community to get behind their Giving Day campaign — Born to Change Lives.

This year, funds raised will help build two purpose-built birthing suites, ensuring future Assistance Dog puppies receive the very best care from their very first breath. These facilities will help support the next generation of life-changing dogs and the people whose lives they will transform.

Even better — every $1 donated will be MATCHED, doubling the impact of your support!

The work Assistance Dogs Australia does is truly life-changing, and we are honoured to continue supporting an organisation so dedicated to animal welfare, training excellence, and empowering people through assistance dogs.

Together, we can help change lives. 🐶✨

We’re proud to congratulate all the winners from the Specialty Shows we were honoured to sponsor over the Easter weekend.
These events, hosted by dedicated breed clubs, play such an important role in preserving, promoting, and celebrating the unique qualities of their breeds. The passion and commitment shown by these communities is invaluable to the future of the dog industry.
A special acknowledgement to the Sporting Spaniel Society of NSW, Siberian Husky Club of NSW, Australian Shepherd Association of NSW, and Pointer Club of NSW for hosting outstanding events. With esteemed judges from around the world, the level of expertise and care in evaluation was truly exceptional.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of these events—we’re grateful for the opportunity to support education within such passionate and knowledgeable communities.

If you run a show or event that would benefit from Education Sponsorship, we’d love to hear from you.

📣 Calling the Animal Industry – We Want Your Input 🐾

At The Pet Industry College, we’re always working to ensure training is industry-led, relevant, and actually useful on the job — not just ticking boxes.

But the best insights don’t come from us… they come from YOU — the people in it every day.

💬 We want to know:

👉 Where are the biggest gaps in training right now?
👉 What do businesses struggle with when it comes to staff skills or progression?
👉 Where are team members getting “stuck” in their careers?
👉 What skills do you wish new staff came with?

And importantly…

🎯 What short courses or upskilling programs does our industry actually need right now?

Think practical, real-world skills like:
• Behaviour & handling
• Client communication
• Animal welfare standards
• Leadership & team management
• Mental health & compassion fatigue
• Workplace safety & risk management

Or something completely different?

👇 Drop your thoughts in the comments or send us a message — we’re listening.

Let’s work together to lift the standard of our industry, support our people, and improve outcomes for the animals in our care.
