Today, we celebrate all the incredible mothers, grandmothers, aunties, carers, and strong female influences who help shape the lives of our children each and every day.

At Jack and Jill Kindergarten, family and community are at the heart of everything we do. As a third-generation family-owned kindergarten, we know how important those nurturing relationships are in helping children feel safe, loved, and confident to grow.

To all the women who comfort, guide, encourage, inspire, and love so deeply — thank you. The kindness, strength, and care you show leaves a lasting impact not only on your own children, but on our entire Jack and Jill community.

We feel so lucky to share in these precious early years alongside such wonderful families and strong female role models. Today we celebrate you and all that you do — not just today, but every day.

Today, on Anzac Day, we pause to remember and honour the bravery, sacrifice and spirit of the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

From our Jack and Jill family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, safe New Year. Thank you for being such a special part of our community. May your days be filled with love, laughter, rest, and precious time together.

Today the children loved soaking up the sunshine as they explored the playground with their binoculars. There was so much excitement as they chatted to each other about all the things they could see — ferries heading to Manly, bush turkeys wandering nearby, and even their friends playing in different parts of the playground.

These playful moments are more than just fun — they build important skills such as:

Observation & Curiosity – looking closely at their environment and asking questions.
Language & Communication – sharing discoveries and ideas with friends.
Social Connection – collaborating and taking turns while exploring together.
Understanding of the World – noticing community life, animals, and nature around them.

At Jack & Jill, we love seeing the children’s natural curiosity come alive in the outdoors!

Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful dads, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures in our Jack and Jill community!

Today we celebrate the love, guidance, and care you bring into your children’s lives each and every day. Whether it’s the little moments of laughter, encouragement, or the big milestones, your presence makes a world of difference.

It was a very busy day at @jackandjill_mosman with three groups of children enjoying preparing @vegepodau planters and planting various edible plants. It feels like spring is coming! The morning started with Bilbies planting and watering lettuce seedlings, then some Possums cleared Sow's Thistle weeds from one Vegepod to make space for planting beetroot seeds (with name labels). Another team of Possums removed all overgrown, crowded strawberries from another Vegepod and replanted them in pots (also labelled with children's names). The strawberries will be used in a wall garden.
