The three Year 9 Food Technology classes completed a creative Food for Special Occasions assessment, where students planned a themed children’s birthday party and designed three matching cupcakes. Across all three classes, there was lots of creativity shown through their planning, design sketches and practical decorating techniques. Students worked hard to bring their ideas to life and should be very proud of their final results.

Thank you so much to everyone who braved the weather to come and watch our Yr 7s and Yr 8s perform in our annual On The Move concert. It was wonderful for the students to have the chance to perform to such a fabulous crowd.

Our Wind Ensemble had a fantastic time on their 4 day tour of Port Macquarie. Thank you to Westport Public School, Lake Cathie Public School, Herons Creek Public School, Hastings Public School, and St. Joseph's Primary School Laurieton for being so welcoming to our students. Big thanks to Mr Staines, Ms Lysaght, and Mrs Katz for organising and running such a great tour.

We have a Yr 12 Future Directions session coming up on Tuesday 25 August at 1:50pm and are looking forward to our Yr 12 students being able to hear what paths our past students have taken. We have been very lucky to already have ex-students volunteer who went to uni straight from school. We are now looking for ex-students who took a different path; did you work straight from school? do a trade? do training at an institution other than uni? We'd love to hear from you and welcome you back to the school. Even better if you have, or are willing to apply for a WWCC (free volunteer is ok)

Today we held the final rehearsal for our upcoming production of Shrek the Musical — our first standalone musical in over 30 years!
With over 100 students involved in every aspect of the production - from performance to staging and design - this show is a celebration of the talent, teamwork and creativity that thrives within our school community. Yesterday the entire school attended a very moving ANZAC service organised by our Yr 10 World History class. Thank you to our guest speaker, Ms Del Gaudry CSC, for your inspiring speech. Your challenge that we keep the ANZAC spirit alive by trying to display courage, mateship, endurance, and sacrifice in our everyday lives was very thought provoking.
