Civics Education program, our students learnt about the roles of local, state and federal governments and the services they are in charge of.
During 2 very engaging presentations they learnt about Waste Sustainability; waste management and recycling
and Natural Resources: the environment and native animals in the area.
4 student mayor candidates gave speeches to be elected “mayor of the day” which the other students voted for. The speeches were very well thought out and addressed important issues. We all participate in a mock council meeting.
Fairfield City Council mayor Frank Carbone also popped in and answered some important, and some just fun, questions.
We thoroughly enjoyed and recommend this hands on and engaging program, and appreciate the council facilitating it for our homeschoolers.

Plenty of crafting, learning and discussions during our Hajj AD. We had 4 groups, Kindy - Year 6 engaged in some hands on activities to take home and stories to reflect.
After a quick lunch break the kids wore their ihram, collected their passports and boarded the MSHS plane all the way to Mecca to begin their Hajj tour. With our lovely MSHS tour guide who shared the importance of all of our Hajj stop.

JazakAllahkhayr to our lovely volunteers .m_23 and Miss AQ for all your dedication to our community!
