What an incredible evening we shared at the Canterbury Celebration Ceremony last week at the stunning Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre. ✨

With 325 attendees and 84 award recipients, this was the largest celebration ceremony ever held in the South Island. The atmosphere was electric, the venue looked spectacular, and the evening was a wonderful celebration from beginning to end. 🙌

Congratulations to all of our award recipients and thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate these incredible milestones.

A special thank you to Eugene Kuo FCA for delivering an inspiring and thought-provoking speech, and to Karen Long CA, NZ Councillor, for presenting the certificates.

Thanks also to the South Island team, Scott Wagenvoord, Lucy Hitchings, Chelsea Jones, and Lucy Brown, whose efforts behind the scenes helped make this significant event such a success.

Congratulations again to the celebrated on the night. 👏

What a privilege it was to celebrate some truly remarkable milestones at our recent Wellington Member Milestone Event.

We recognised CA ANZ members who have reached 40, 50, 60 and an extraordinary 70 years of membership, celebrating decades of dedication to the profession and the impact they have made on businesses, communities and future generations of accountants. 👏

One of the highlights of the evening was hearing members reflect on their careers; the challenges they faced, the opportunities they embraced, and the lessons they have learned along the way. Their stories were a powerful reminder of the important role Chartered Accountants play and the lasting value of professional relationships built over many years.

A sincere thank you to all those who joined us, including the friends and whānau of our milestone recipients whose support has undoubtedly been part of their journey. Thank you also to our Office Bearer, Julia Fink, FCA, CMinstD, and Wellington Local Committee Chair, Sarah Bate FCA, for helping us honour these achievements.

Thank you to Aaron Thompson and the CA ANZ Lower North Island team who worked behind the scenes to make the event such a special occasion.

Congratulations again to all of our milestone members. Reaching 40, 50, 60 or 70 years of membership is an outstanding achievement and one that deserves to be celebrated. 💫 🎉

A CA is into MasterChef's grand final! 👏

Congratulations to Petro Papathomas CA, a Melbourne-based CA ANZ member, who's set to cook in MasterChef Australia's final episode on Sunday night after an incredible season making every ingredient count!🍽️

Petro's journey to the top 2 has been shaped by years of cooking and enjoying delicious food with his family. With a Greek/Cypriot background and fond memories learning from his mum and his grandmothers in the kitchen, Petro's gone on to bring family traditions, heritage, and bold flavours to his dishes.

As he's said on the program: "I'm a Chartered Accountant by day, but after work, I make batches of halloumi as a side hustle". We're proud to see one of our own making his mark in the kitchen both on and off the screen – showing that CAs bring creativity, dedication and passion to everything they do.

👉 Join us in cheering Petro on finals night. We'll be watching 7pm AEST on Channel 10 and 10play.

In July, we had the pleasure of welcoming 47 members celebrating their 25-year CA ANZ milestone, along with many of their guests, to our NSW 25 Year Anniversary Celebration. ✨

Reaching 25 years of CA membership is a remarkable achievement. It reflects a sustained commitment to professional excellence, lifelong learning and service to the profession. This milestone is a testament to the dedication, expertise and impact our members have made throughout their careers.

Hosted by James Valbuena, Acting NSW Regional Manager, the evening brought together members from across New South Wales to celebrate their achievements, reconnect with peers and reflect on their professional journeys. We were also joined by Ross Hawkey FCA, NSW Regional Council Chair and Adam Preiner CA RITP, NSW Regional Councillor, who helped recognise and honour this significant milestone.

The celebration was filled with meaningful conversations, shared memories and new connections. It was wonderful to see members commemorating this achievement alongside fellow CAs, colleagues, friends and family members who have supported them throughout their careers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable occasion, and congratulations once again to our 25-year members. Your contribution to the profession and the CA ANZ community over the past quarter century is something to be incredibly proud of, and an inspiration to the next generation of Chartered Accountants. 👏
