Magic Beach has just been announced Australia's Best Picture Book and we are so thrilled for Alison Lester!

At CDP we get to work on so many beautiful picture books, but Magic Beach holds a special place in our hearts and we are overjoyed that so many Australian's agree with us. Congratulations Alison! 🏖️📖❤️

Congrats to the cast & crew for Dog Man The Musical - Live Australia on a second successful season at Sydney Opera House!

The team will be touring later this year to Brisbane's QPAC, Arts Centre Melbourne, and (just announced) State Theatre Centre in Perth 🐾

This June, The Gruffalo is coming to life on stage in Brisbane as part of the return of the much-loved Out of the Box Festival for Children at QPAC!

Over one million children have attended Out of the Box since its beginnings in 1992, and we can’t wait to welcome a new generation of kids to experience the magic.
For the first time since 2018, Out of the Box will take over the entire cultural precinct for a week with a program jam packed with theatre experiences, workshops, free events and activities.

Out of the Box features something for everyone, including three world premiere productions created especially for young children.

When: 17 – 22 June 2025
Where: QPAC and Cultural Precinct, South Bank

We’re thrilled that our adaptation of David Walliams’ Ratburger has received a nomination for Best Production for Children in the 2024 Sydney Theatre Awards!⁠

Congrats to our wonderful cast, crew and creatives, and our fellow nominees – and a big thank you to Sydney Theatre Awards and our wonderful audiences.

The 2024 Sydney Theatre Awards will be presented at a live ceremony on Monday 20th Jan, 2025.⁠

Our brand new production Being Beethoven - Live on Stage premieres next week at City Recital Hall, Sydney! In this immersive theatrical experience, young audiences will discover the story of one of the greatest composers of all time, Ludwig van Beethoven, through live music and storytelling.

We're thrilled to announce the upcoming premiere of Clockwork in Beijing! 🎉 This exciting new show, a collaboration with our Chinese partner TONG, has been in the works since 2020. After several years of persistence, through the challenges of COVID and international border closures, we’re finally ready to bring our collaboration to life.
