At Grow Girraween, we celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Lights!
Diwali is a joyous occasion that symbolises the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. Our Grow families came together to share in the spirit of this wonderful festival.

Children had a delightful time participating in art and craft activities, creating colourful rangoli designs and decorating rockets. Through these experiences, children strengthened their social skills, build on their sense of belonging within the community, and learned to appreciate cultural diversity.

Our preschoolers went on an excursion to a local school, where they had a wonderful and enriching experience. During the visit, they explored the school’s library and had the opportunity to spend time in a kindergarten classroom. It was a valuable exposure for the children, helping them become familiar with a school environment.

Our toddlers and preschoolers recently went on an excursion to the local park, where they had the opportunity to engage with the outdoors alongside their peers and educators, outside of the usual centre environment.
The children had a wonderful time playing on the park’s equipment, while also exploring and appreciating the beauty of nature.
In addition to the physical activities, they learned valuable lessons as they followed traffic rules during their walk to the park, fostering both their social and safety awareness.

This experience also helped children strengthen their connection to the local community, encouraging a sense of belonging and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
