This week, our students commemorated National Reconciliation Week with a meaningful time of reflection in our school chapel.

Students gathered to listen to stories, remember the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and deepen their understanding of the journey towards reconciliation in Australia.

We are proud of the respect our students demonstrated during this special time of remembrance and reflection.

Amazing achievement today as we celebrated our first Maroon KiC Badge recipient! Brayden earned this honour by achieving 15 Marlu Merit awards, showing incredible hard work and dedication. Congratulations also to our White KIC badge recipients for consistently demonstrating our school values by being a safe, honest and respectful learner every day. We are so proud of you!

🍊 Delectable Dessert 🍊

Year 5 and Kindergarten have joined forces again, this time to create a delicious dessert!
We used the juicy mandarins picked from our very own citrus trees, followed a recipe and worked together to make a zesty mandarin cake. We loved working together, and we enjoyed sharing our tasty creation together in the sunshine. ☀️

We loved working with our buddies, because not only did we learn a new skill, we learnt how to work as a team and listen attentively whilst having fun and filling our bellies!

Today we celebrated Chisholm Day with a beautiful Mass remembering the inspiring work and legacy of Caroline Chisholm.

A highlight of the day was recognising 2 students from every grade with a peer-voted award for demonstrating the values of our Chisholm community each day. Congratulations to all recipients on this special recognition!

State of Origin fever hit Chisholm today! 🏉

Our staff and students proudly showed their team spirit ahead of Game 1, with plenty of blue spotted around the school… and of course a sprinkle of maroon too! It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, sharing some friendly rivalry and lots of excitement for tonight’s big game.

Who are you cheering for tonight?

📚Simultaneous Storytime📚

Today our students joined schools across Australia to enjoy Luna Roo for Simultaneous Storytime. Some grades extended their learning by completing book reviews, sharing their thoughts and favourite parts of the story.

A wonderful celebration of reading, imagination and literacy! 📖

Our Year 1 students had a wonderful time creating animal habitat dioramas as part of our Science learning!

From deserts to oceans and forests, students used their creativity and knowledge to design homes for different animals while exploring how living things survive in their environments. We are so proud of their effort, teamwork and imagination!

Today, our students participated in a meaningful Encounter Day filled with faith, service and community spirit.

Students engaged in a range of faith based activities, with a special focus on our snack pack campaign and the delivery of donations to the Vinnies Van to support those in need. We were also honoured to welcome our local Mayor - Les Sheather who visited our learning spaces to see students packing the snack packs and to learn more about this wonderful initiative.

A special thank you to Miss Samson and Miss Apap from Bede Polding College for sharing their experiences with the Vinnie's Van and inspiring our students through their stories of service and compassion.

We would also like to give a huge shout out to our wonderful families for generously donating items and supporting this important initiative. Your kindness and generosity made a real difference.
