Syllabus consultations 09/09/2023

One of the most concerning developments in the revision of the NSW curriculum is the PDHPE year 7-10 syllabus which has controversially included content that can only be described as extreme indoctrination. A significant part of the syllabus focuses on empowering the LGBTQ communities and dis-empowers and stigmatizes communities of faith where sexual identities and gender orientation are non-negotiable core values. The syllabus needs to strike a greater balance between aiming to reduce discrimination against LGBTQ communities without being a form of educational indoctrination and alienating and demonizing communities of faith. It is essentially an attack on freedom of speech. No community group should be forced to negotiate their core values or celebrate values they don’t believe in. The syllabus is hypocritical as it would never force individuals from the LGBTQ community and atheists to embrace core values of religions, yet it forces communities of faith to celebrate and promote values that contradict their own.

This Syllabus needs a major rewrite as it is not inclusive and renders public education as outdated and irrelevant to the needs of many community groups.

As a result, the PDHPE risks making public education less relevant to many community groups and it is to blame for the recent explosion in demand for private school education.
The survey for community feedback closes September 11:

Fears AstraZeneca reputation has been ‘tarnished’ beyond repair 15/07/2021

Reliable vaccine information is critical for ensuring that individuals make the best decision possible regarding their health. Pandemics however demand that citizens make decisions that impact not just on themselves but society as a whole. Most individuals will vaccinate if you give them a choice in which vaccine they can access.

Fears AstraZeneca reputation has been ‘tarnished’ beyond repair Vaccine experts say the negative public sentiment is unfair, and the AstraZeneca jab could be the key to avoiding death and serious illness in Australia this year.

Why the Christchurch massacre was inevitable

The unfortunate terrorist attack on the Christchurch mosque in New Zealand is a good example of the combined MEPs effect (media, education and politics).
It is even more frightening that the Australian terrorist refers to himself in his 73-page manifesto posted online as “just a regular White man.” Our education system has through blatant negligence turned a blind eye to its responsibility of educating mainstream society about its most marginalised minority groups, while our politicians have fuelled the fire of radicalism through their dangerous irresponsible rhetoric.

My Health Record opt-out doubles to 2.5 million people 02/03/2019

Why the My Health Record System needs to improve before it can help to mitigate the Medicare Nightmare

It is essential that privacy and security concerns are addressed urgently in order to ensure success of the My Health Record system in Australia.
While the system can help prevent adverse advents and aid medical professionals in their decision making, it is essential that such sensitive data is protected in order for faith to remain in its overall purpose. Otherwise, patients will continue to opt-out due to concerns that their own private information might be misused against them by employers, authorities and even banks and insurance companies.

My Health Record opt-out doubles to 2.5 million people The number of Australians who opted out of the My Health Record system doubled after the deadline was extended by three months, hitting 2.5 million people on January 31.
