Marli Marli Early Learning Marli Marli takes its name from the Aboriginal word for butterfly, the symbol of freedom & joy.

Established in 2011, Marli Marli Daycare is a boutique childcare centre based in North Bondi, which specialises in the care and education of children aged 2-5 years. Marli Marli takes its name from the Aboriginal word for butterfly, the symbol of freedom, joy, change and colour, which also underpins our centre’s philosophy on early childhood education. We believe children should be free to explore, play, grow and develop in a fun, vibrant environment where they feel happy, safe, loved and nurtured, but which also provides them with the structure they need to prepare for school and beyond. Our educators are all highly qualified and passionate about providing high quality care, through best quality educational program. To that end, our centre accepts no more than 10 children per day, to ensure each child feels safe and secure, and receives the best possible care and attention from our educators. Our program
Research has consistently shown that the hands-on experience of playing and socialising with other children is vital to every child’s learning and development. And so, through careful planning and observation, Marli Marli has created a learning program and environment that is founded on providing children with meaningful learning experiences through play, while also adhering to the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia. By also drawing inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach, our program provides your child with rich and rewarding experiences in an environment that is exciting, engaging and encourages them to learn at their own pace. In addition to making sure your child feels nurtured and supported as they navigate their way through the education journey, we also like to make sure our parents and families feel supported too, by encouraging them to take an active part in their child’s early learning experience. We believe that childcare should be more than just child minding. It should be a rich and rewarding experience for both parent and child, at the heart of which is clear and open lines of communication between educators and families. At Marli Marli, our educators are always on hand to share their knowledge and expertise with you, and provide you with any feedback on how your child is progressing in their learning and development.

2 or 3 days as we are somewhat flexible for the right person: Must include Wednesday

Would you like to work for an owner operator in an inspiring childcare environment that prides itself on our relationships with families and educators. Our staff become our family.

Our centre is a well-resourced, beautiful home-like long daycare that prides itself on offering a fun and innovative environment for both children and educators. We are a small 10-place centre that caters for 2 - 5 year olds with a small team of dedicated and inspiring educators. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and many theorists and believe in designing an environment rich with possibilities. We believe that the environment is the third teacher and it is important to provide opportunities for children to explore and learn about the world through real hands on experiences.

We are situated just moments from Bondi Beach and believe in creating a community that is a reflection of Bondi's beautiful culture. As this is a small team, an ideal candidate must be motivated and have exceptional communication skills. They must be forward thinking and eager to take on new concepts and be creative with the learning experiences. Previous room leader experience is desirable.

A successful candidate must have:

• First Aid Certificate
• Working with children check
• Excellent communication skills
• Diploma trained qualification
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
• Exceptional knowledge of the National Quality Standards
• Knowledge of developmental theories
• Skills in establishing a respectful and meaningful relationship with children

The Role:
• Adopt a teaching practice that reflects our philosophy and the unique needs of the children
• Observing and documenting the children's learning through documentation displays and an easy time saving online portfolio tool
• Contribute creative ideas for programming and ongoing projects
• Maintain an orderly and safe environment
• Support each other in the smooth running of the daily flow at an exceptional level

International women’s day 2022

We WON! “Bondi mother of the year”…

Thank you to all my loved ones & my community whom voted, I will continue to do women and children proud. Below was my acceptance speech. 😂

What an honour it is to receive such a special award. It comes at the perfect time as my own mister three-year-old tells me I’m a meanie for not allowing him to have a cookie before dinner. We may not outwardly say it, but the chances are we have all though it: “I don’t know if I'm doing this mother thing right".

Being awarded the “Bondi Mother of the Year" is quite the accolade; one that I gratefully receive tonight on behalf of all the mothers and early childhood educators in our Bondi community. As I approach 20 years of service as an early childhood educator, one of the greatest privileges of my profession is meeting so many empowered women who continually inspire me and motivate me to be my very best. It is such a special gift to begin your child’s education; and watching you manage your busy lives and achieve your goals is so empowering to us all.

I know that within our community of women we all feel a sense of pride for what women are achieving and that each and every one of us offers a unique perspective on motherhood that continues to inspire us all. This award is for all us mothers, a celebration of everything we achieve every day, every week, every month and through the years.

And Yes! We are doing it right!

💥2021 EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION DAY💥

Today is early childhood educators day and to many this day doesnt mean alot but to so many women and men its a day where we celebrate each other. The last 18 months early childhood educators have been on a such a rollercoaster ride and with each obstacle we get stronger. Beau, Tessa Ann-maree.....working with the three of you is always a joy and a pleasure, we have shared some tears but definitely lots of laughs....you have all helped make me a better educator.
So from me thank you, thank you for all you have done and all you continue to do, for your hard work, passion, dedication, knowledge, creativity and care of our small people. You are my essentials. HAPPY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION DAY.
