👜What have you learned on your financial journey? ❤️

I used to worry every time there he mentioned there was a “restructure” going on at my hubby’s work (and there were lots over the years).

What would we do if he was one of those to be cut? 😬

Having no control about the decisions others could make and how they’d potentially affect our lives made me nervous.

According to a survey by Fidelity, 80% of women admit to money being a source of worry.

I decided long ago that I didn’t want to be part of the 80%.

And I was also dedicated to helping other women NOT be one either! 💪

Always curious about how others made and managed their money set me on a quest to learn and do more.

And it paid off.💰

I’ve spend years learning and developing techniques, shortcuts and processes to make money work.

I’ve make mistakes, sometimes things don’t pay off. But I know that as long as the wins substantially outnumber the losses, I’m ahead.

I’ve learned what I can control and what I can’t. And always put more emphasis on having control.

Whether you want to save for a house deposit or just create financial SPACE for peace of mind, there’s no point in focusing on what’s standing in your way.

To get ahead it pays to learn how to get around and out-manoeuvre any obstacles that come up.

If you know your PURPOSE, your WHY, you won’t allow the negative talk to take you on a downward spiral.

You’ll avoid those conversations where well intentioned family and friends say it can’t be done.

But the truth is, it CAN BE DONE if you know how. They just don’t know the HOW.

The “how” CAN be learnt. The “how” is a process.

Taking the steps to invest in yourself can be the difference between having a positive and lasting effect on everyone around you or staying in the mental mud of negativity.

Negative gets you nowhere. Positive always wins.
