Nominations are now open for the KOALA Awards. Students are invited to nominate their favourite book published in Australia in the last 10 years. You have until April 4 to make your vote count. Nominations can be made online at the KOALA Awards or in the MS Library.

What’s new in the MS and SC libraries?
Our brand new spotlight displays feature a Book of the Week, First Nations spotlight, Author spotlight and Genre spotlight.
The library staff are sharing their favourite new books with a brief description and blurb outlining why you might like to read them too.
The displays are changing every week so make sure you visit regularly!

Registrations are now open for A Tale of Two Stories, our shared holiday reading experience, for students in Years 7-12 and their parents / caregivers.

There are over 30 titles included in the programme across a range of genres - from mystery, adventure, historical fiction, fantasy, books for reluctant readers and more.
To register, look through the presentation and choose your first and second title preferences, then follow the steps in the presentation to sign up.
During Weeks 7 & 8 we will loan out the book pack to your child. The pack will include two copies of your chosen book, two bookmarks and discussion questions.

Fill your pockets full of gold coins and visit one of our Libraries tomorrow, Thursday, 7th November to donate a gold coin for a pre-loved book.
One coin = one book
BUT why stop at one when there’s so much choice?
You can also find us outside the St Andrew’s House Foyer after school for some extra special bargains.
We hope to see you tomorrow for this very special initiative, with all monies going to to support their work in remote communities.

The Great Book Swap
An initiative of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF), The Great Book Swap is a fantastic way to celebrate reading locally, learn more about Indigenous languages and culture and raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. The idea is to swap a favourite book in exchange for a donation.
How to get involved:
📚Donate used books to the library to be sold at the Great Book Swap.
We are taking donations now in our JS, MS & SC libraries.

It’s time to get up and atom (see what we did there) and visit the MS and SC libraries during National Science Week.
You can borrow a Science book or magazine, collect a Science Week bookmark, test your science knowledge in our quiz, enjoy science videos during lunch (in MS library) and observe what the library bears are up to with their amazing science experiments.

We’re on the countdown to author, Tim Harris’ visit with the Junior School.
Award-winning, best -selling author Tim Harris will share his story-writing craft with our Junior School students on Thursday, 22nd August as part of our Book Week 2024 celebrations.
Use the QR code to order books before Tim’s visit for signing on the day.
This year’s Children’s Book Week theme is ‘Reading is Magic’ and Tim will bring a special kind of writing magic to us!
