What a fantastic day we had at Olympic Park Athletics Centre at the Senior School Athletics Carnival!

Congratulations to all our age champions, record-breakers, and event winners, as well as to Ferguson for taking out the title of winning house 💚 💚 💚

It was a day of enthusiasm, fun, and non-stop house spirit, and many an excellent costume from our Year 12s.

✂️ Bobs for Ba Vi: Cutting for Compassion ❤️

More than 20 of our Year 11 and Year 12 students are preparing to make "the chop" as part of a powerful student-led fundraising initiative supporting the Ba Vi community in Vietnam.

Inspired by the resilience of their Ba Vi brothers and sisters, our students have volunteered to cut their hair into bobs to raise funds for the health, well-being and needs of the community.

🎯 Goal: $10,000

Every dollar donated will go directly towards supporting the Ba Vi community.

We are incredibly proud of the compassion, courage and commitment our students are showing through this initiative.

Please consider supporting their efforts and helping us spread the word. Together, we can make a meaningful difference.

National Reconciliation Week 2026 at PLC Sydney centred on the theme All In, a powerful reminder that reconciliation asks all Australians to take active responsibility every day.

In Junior School, Year 6 led a moving presentation, sharing their understanding of reconciliation through voice and reflection.

In Senior School, students gathered in Thompson Hall for an assembly featuring music by Gurrumul Yunupingu, student reflections, and contributions from guests including Pastor Ray Minniecon and Aunty Kayleen.

Together, we were reminded that reconciliation is not a spectator sport, it calls on all of us to step forward, listen and act.

Last week on National Sorry Day, we paused to remember the Stolen Generations and reflect on the ongoing impact these policies continue to have on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.

A group of PLC Sydney students, including some of our Djurumin Gals, attended a National Sorry Day Service at Roseville College.

It was a deeply moving service, where students listened to testimonies from members of the Stolen Generations and reflected on the importance of truth-telling, listening and Reconciliation.

Recently, more than 20 students travelled to the NSW South Coast to perform at the Berry Celtic Festival, marching through the centre of town and proudly representing the College 🎶

The festival was also a special milestone for several newer band members, who took part in their very first public performance outside of PLC Sydney.

“The girls performed beautifully and represented the College with great professionalism,” said Dr Paul Burgis.

Congratulations to all students involved on a fantastic performance 👏

National Simultaneous Storytime was a hit at PLC Sydney Junior School!

This year, students joined thousands of children across Australia to read Luna Roo, The Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson, Adrian Lloyd & Jake A Minton together. Our Junior School teachers brought the action-packed story to life with a fun-filled performance for students.

Through Luna Roo’s journey of resilience, confidence and teamwork, students explored the importance of believing in themselves and supporting others.

The story also inspired learning across the Junior School, with Pre-K and Kindergarten investigating kangaroos and Year 1 & 2 developing research skills through projects on soccer and other sports.

A wonderful celebration of reading, imagination and learning together! ❤️

We had a wonderful morning at the Generations Breakfast today ❤️

How fantastic it was to see the many generations of women who have lived the PLC Sydney experience, and those who are in it now, all in the one space together.

Thank you to Elizabeth Gregory who welcomed us all on behalf of the ESU, to Ari (Year 12) who shared her experiences as the ESU Ambassador, and to Eva (Year 10), the incoming ESU Scholarship holder, for sharing her family's generational tie to PLC Sydney.
