Want to study hospitality in Australia and become eligible for Subclass 485? 👨‍🍳🇦🇺

A combination of:
Certificate IV in Patisserie (1.5 years) + Diploma of Hospitality Management (0.5 year) can meet the 2-year Australian study requirement for the Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485). ✅

Important to know:
This pathway is generally used for the occupation “Chef” 👨‍🍳
—not “Pastrycook” 🥐

Why?
Because according to TRA, Certificate IV in Patisserie can be considered a relevant qualification for Chef skills assessment pathways. Meanwhile, Pastrycook usually requires both Certificate III and Certificate IV in Patisserie as the core qualification pathway.

Also, Pastrycook is currently not eligible for Subclass 485 occupation pathways, although it may still be available for other visas such as 482, 186, and some state-sponsored 190/491 pathways.

Choosing the right course pathway early can make a huge difference for your future migration options in Australia. ✨
