On Wednesday evening, 97 IMP members took part in the Arts Unit Secondary choral Festival ‘In Concert’ at the Sydney Opera House. This huge cohort included 82 members of the Fort Street Vocal Ensemble, and 15 other musicians in the Arts Unit Symphony Orchestra and NSW Senior Singers.
Here’s a photo of the massed choir and orchestra, conducted by IMP Director Alumnus Elizabeth Scott. Congratulations to all involved on a fantastic show!

At our recent Athletics Carnival the students showed up with great enthusiasm across many events. It was great to see that our carnival is not just about competition; it’s about coming together as a community to celebrate our talents, support our peers, and create memories. Fortians from all year groups sprinted down the track, soared through the air in long jump, and cheered from the side-lines, their presence and participation making for a great event.

One night isn't a lot, but it can make a whole lot of difference
Every night, thousands of Australians experience homelessness. But it doesn't have to be that way. This is the fifth year that I am taking part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout to raise money for the St Vincent de Paul Society to support Australians in need. For one night, I'll be sleeping outside as part of an eye-opening experience to raise awareness and bring home the realities of homelessness.
To help break the devastating cycle of homelessness, I need your support. Will you help me to reach my target? Donating $100 can make a huge difference to people who need it most.

Today our SRC hosted over 300 students from public high schools from all around Sydney and even as far as Merewether in Newcastle. The conference is organised and run by our SRC from organising guest speakers, inviting students, planning activities and hosting. There was months of preparation and they did a fantastic job today. We had lovely feedback from visiting students and staff and it was inspiring to be surrounded by so many young leaders. We are very grateful to the wonderful speakers who shared their knowledge and experience with the students. These are just a few snaps from the day. We look forward to sharing more photos soon.

A huge thank you to our generous P&C and families who provided new permanent fairy lights in the Fountain quad. They will definitely elevate our evening events such as our upcoming Fort Fest and IMP Winter Concert!

On May 1 our students took part in our annual Cross Country along the Cooks River. It was a wonderful day with lots of House Spirit on display.

The Year 12 Charity Committee also raised over $1,200 for the World's Greatest Shave with their BBQ.

Well done to all of the competitors and a huge thanks to Mr Feng for organising a great event and all of the staff who supported the students on the day.
