Last Friday we celebrated Wear It Purple Day at our whole school assembly followed by a fundraising bake sale. We welcomed The Hon. Michael Kirby AC CMG who as always gave a thoroughly captivating speech to the students. His speech highlighted the importance of the free, secular public education system that embraces and supports every child regardless of their race, religion, family income, gender, or sexual identity.
Congratulations also to Charlotte from Y8 who not only is in the Top 5 point earners for Kirby house but also won 96 gold coins. Charlotte earned the coins by taking on the challenge to fill her History notebook and did so beautifully.

The Kilgour Quad is overflowing today thanks to the annual Year 10 Commerce stalls. The students run these stalls as part of the Business Environment topic. The hardest part is choosing what to eat!

Congratulations to our Fort Street Chess representatives, who took out 1st place in the Interschool Chess Challenge semi-finals today. They competed against 7 other schools and are now on their way to the finals!

A special mention to Yifei who also won 1st Placed Student.

Our School Admin Staff were super excited to see the Fort Fest Merchandise arrive at school today!
The hoodies and t-shirts looked and felt great to wear and the hat was such great quality.

Today we celebrated Multicultural day at the Fort with a whole school assembly. Our very talented students shared their cultures with us through song and dance before we had our Annual Flag Parade. At lunch students had the opportunity to enjoy tasty treats from around the world. It was wonderful to see so many cultures represented and to celebrate the rich diversity of our school. A special thanks to the SRC for organising this fantastic event.

Come along on the evening of the 31st of August to see artworks and music performances by our talented and hardworking Year 12 students. The Visual Arts exhibition will commence at 5:30pm in the school hall, followed by Music performances at 6:30.
