🌿🌱 A Day at the Community Garden! 🥕🌻
Here at Teddy Bear Early Learning Centre, our Preschool children love learning through hands-on experiences and connecting with our local community. 💚
This week, we had the wonderful opportunity to visit our local community garden! The children explored the garden, observed different plants and vegetables, and discovered how our food grows. 🌱🥕🍅
The experience encouraged the children to ask questions, share their ideas and build on their understanding of caring for plants and our environment. They enjoyed seeing how the gardening experiences we have at the centre connect with the wider community. 🌏💚
We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom, and experiences like these provide children with meaningful opportunities to explore, discover and learn about the world around them. 🌿✨
A big thank you to our local community garden for welcoming us!
What a lovely day of exploring, learning and connecting with our community! 🥰🌱

🌟 Building Confidence Through Everyday Independence 🌟
Small tasks can lead to big achievements!
Putting on shoes, packing away toys, carrying a lunchbox or helping to water the plants may seem simple, but these everyday moments help children develop confidence, responsibility and resilience.
When children are given time, encouragement and a little helping hand, they begin to believe:
💛 “I believe in myself.”
💛 “I can make a difference.”
💛 “I can keep going, even when things feel tricky.”
In Teddy Bear ELC’s July Newsletter, we share practical and joyful ways families can encourage independence through everyday routines.

🧸✨ Shaving Cream Sensory Fun! ✨🧸
Our babies and toddlers had a wonderful time exploring shaving cream as part of their sensory learning experience!
Through touching, squishing, spreading and creating patterns, the children engaged their senses while developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, creativity and language skills. Sensory play provides opportunities for children to explore different textures in a safe and fun environment, encouraging curiosity and confidence as they learn through play.
It was lovely to see so many smiles, giggles and little hands busy exploring throughout the experience!
At Teddy Bear Early Learning Centre, we value hands-on learning experiences that support children’s development while making learning fun and engaging.

Have you ever noticed your child suddenly saying “no” more often? It might feel challenging in the moment, but it’s actually an important part of their development.
In this month’s April Newsletter, we explore why children push boundaries, test limits, and assert their independence—and why this is something to embrace rather than fear.
By understanding this stage, we can better support our children as they grow into confident, independent individuals.
