Engadine Gumnuts is owned and director by local sisters,Kim and Allyson, with one of us on the premises every day for direct contact with families. We hold tours of the center every day within school hours, no appointment necessary and no fee to be added to our waitlist. Taking waitlist now for all rooms. 🌈Colour Run Fun Day!🌈

Yesterday, the children enjoyed an exciting and vibrant day at the park, participating in a fun-filled Colour Run and obstacle course! 🎨🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

The children embraced the experience with enthusiasm as they navigated the course, explored movement and physical challenges, and enjoyed being covered in the colours of the rainbow. 🌈✨

It was wonderful to see their smiles, laughter and excitement as they participated alongside their friends and educators. A fantastic day of active play, exploration, teamwork and making special memories together! 💕

Today we celebrate the incredible educators who make Gumnuts the special place it is. 💚

Behind every story read, hand held, question answered, discovery made and new skill learned is an educator who is there to encourage, guide, nurture and inspire.

Our educators do so much more than care for children. They create meaningful learning opportunities, build trusting relationships, support children’s confidence and independence, and make sure every child feels safe, valued and heard.

Today is about recognising all those everyday moments that can sometimes go unseen, but make such an important difference in a child’s early years.

Book Week is all about encouraging children to discover new worlds, explore their imaginations and develop a lifelong love of books and storytelling. From favourite characters to exciting adventures, books help children build language, creativity, confidence and a sense of wonder. 💭💕

💚 Farewell Charlotte 💚

Today is a bittersweet day at Gumnuts as we farewell Charlotte after six wonderful years as part of our team.

Charlotte joined us in 2021 and from the moment she arrived, she became a solid and integral part of our professional team. Arriving around a similar time to Lara, Alison and Abbey, they quickly connected and formed a strong group of educators who brought passion, professionalism and a genuine drive for positive change.

Over the years, Charlotte has continued to grow professionally, completing her Diploma and Bachelor of Education – The Early Years, stepping into leadership roles and contributing well beyond her everyday role as an educator. She has supported management, Assessment and Rating, Self-Assessment and has been instrumental in developing our trauma-informed practices.

Charlotte has also been one of our constants – organised, reliable, calm and professional, bringing balance and stability to our staff, children and families. Her contribution to Gumnuts has been significant, and her absence will certainly be felt across the centre.

While we are very sad to see her go, we are also excited for Charlotte as she begins her next adventure travelling around Australia. 🇦🇺

Thank you, Charlotte, for everything you have contributed to Gumnuts since 2021. You have made a lasting impact on our centre and will be incredibly missed by our educators, children and families.

There’s something pretty special about seeing our little graduate come back years later as educators. 💚

Brooke graduated form Engadine Gumnut Early Educator Centre in 2011 and returned in 2023 to begin her early childhood journey. She completed her Certificate lll, continued on as a Diploma Trainee, and in 2026 stepped into the role of Kookaburra Room Educator. We’re so proud of everything she had achieved! ✨

Lily graduated from Engadine Gumnut’s Early Educator Centre in 2014 and has recently returned as our full-time Certificate lll Trainee. We’re so exited to have her back and can’t wait to watch her grown in her new role. 🍀

At Engadine Gumnut’s Early Education a centre, we’re more then just a childcare centre - we’re a community. Seeing children grow up, return, and become part of our team is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. It truly feels like coming home. 🏡💚

We’re so proud of Brooke, Lily and all our amazing educators. Here’s to growing together, supporting one another, and inspiring the next generation. ✨

Engadine Gumnuts Early Education Centre is seeking an experienced Diploma Qualified Educator to join our friendly team.

📍 Position Available
• Full-time or
• Split into two part-time roles:
🌼 Monday–Wednesday (3 days)
🌼 Thursday–Friday (2 days)

Essential Requirements (please only apply if you meet ALL of the following):

✔ Hold a completed Australian-recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (not studying towards)
✔ Minimum 12 months' full-time experience (or equivalent) working in an Australian long day care service
✔ Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis qualifications
✔ Current Working With Children Check
✔ Completion of the NSW Mandatory Child Safe Training (or willingness to complete prior to commencement)
✔ A genuine passion for providing high-quality education and care

Certificate III Applicants

We may consider applications from exceptional Certificate III qualified educators who have more than two years' full-time experience (or equivalent) working in an Australian long day care service. This position is not open to applicants who are studying towards a qualification.
