Woodstock Early Learning Centre in Sydney Olympic Park is a privately run early childhood service where the connection with the environment is promoted through light filled rooms and a spacious outdoor environment. The service caters to 80 children per day; and is close to public transport and shops.

In the Rainbow room (0-2 years) there are up to 20 children per day.

We strongly believe that children learn through play and allow ample time for free play, as well as weekly planned indoor and outdoor programs. While planned, the development of emerging pre-school readiness skills (social & emotional development, and self-help skills) and concepts are embedded into the programs.

We value each educator’s abilities and strengths and are responsive to their needs. We offer opportunities for career progression, above award wages, flexibility, ample non-contact time for programming, monthly RDOs, a rotating roster, subsidised professional development, etc.

Your responsibilities include:

- assisting to develop the curriculum
- programming and planning
assist with the set-up of the environments
– both indoors and outdoors
- work in a professional work environment, and contribute equally to the team
-critically reflect on you own practices, and use this information to ensure the QIP is current and relevant.

You will be able to:
- work collaboratively in a team
- contribute to self-reflection and the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System
- have sound knowledge of the NQF, including the EYLF, law and regulations
- build strong partnerships and relationships with all children and their families, the community and your colleagues
- be an advocate for children (their rights and their protection)

You must have:
- A completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early childhood education and care
-Working with children check
-Good computer skills
-First aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training
-Strong verbal and written English skills
previous experience working in a similar setting is desirable, but also suits new educators to the industry

As you have heard recently, Beirut was shocked with a devastating explosion killing and injuring many, as well as leaving so many families with no shelter or essential supplies. ⁣

Thank you to the families who have checked in and shown support to our owners, educators and families of Lebanese background. Everyone in some way whether in Australia or Lebanon has been affected by this, therefore, Woodstock Childcare and Early Learning Centre have decided to organise a ‘Help Beirut Initiative’ across our three services. ⁣
⁣
During the next fortnight, we will be discussing with our children the impacts on humanity that such an event has as well as collecting money donations and essential supplies to donate.⁣
⁣
All donations will be donated to three supporting foundations within Sydney that have organised containers to be sent to NGOs (non-government organisations) within Lebanon. 💔🇱🇧💔
