CAN’T DO A PULL-UP? YOU CAN STILL TRAIN FOR ONE.
A full pull-up might feel a long way off, but you don’t need to be able to do one before you can start working towards it.
Begin with controlled eccentric pull-ups, using the lowering phase to develop strength and control.
Progress to assisted pull-ups to train the full movement.
Then, as your strength develops, work towards performing the movement without assistance.
That’s the approach we take at guzzFIT in Traralgon: establish where you are now, set a measurable goal and build the progression that moves you towards it.
Your first pull-up might be closer than you think.
