🎅🏼 SANTA PHOTOS 🎅🏼

We are so excited to announce our 2nd annual Santa Photos here at Poppi’s Preschool & Long Day Care!

Our 2023 Santa Photos were such a hit and we had so much lovely feedback that we can’t wait to do it all over again.

On Saturday the 16th of November 8am to 12pm, we will be working together with a beautiful photographer Jua from and Florist Georgie Rix from to bring our second annual Santa Photos to life.

Tickets will be released Tuesday the 8th of October at 4pm and it will be first in best dressed. This year spots will also be opened up to the wider community so tell your friends!

After reflecting on last year we will be doing 5 minute sessions for $50; which includes an intimate Christmas setting with Santa, 1x printed 5x7(in) print/card and 3-4 digital images. Trained fur friends welcome.

Saturday 2nd December (this weekend!!) Poppi’s have been busy baking and making special treats for a very special bake sale!
Our educators have been setting up an opportunity for families to have Santa photos taken at Poppi’s, a set has been designed by a very creative family, Santa is preparing his best suit and a local photographer Mumma is taking photos 💫
The best part, all profits from photos and our bake sale will go towards sponsoring a teacher through Fundraising for Life Charity Focus.
So if you feel like something sweet or a pic with Santa (we have limited places left Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd please contact us) pop down to 97 Garnet Road in Miranda to pay us a visit 🎅🏼🎄🍰

Well wasn’t that fun!! Halloween 2023, dress ups, scary food, face painting, slime, surprise boxes and visiting our friends who live next door to trick or treat 👻
Nothing we love more than good quality happy days with our friends and that is just what we had. A big thank you to our neighbours who dressed up and got in the Halloween spirit for us!

Today is Early Childhood Educators Day, a day we celebrate our amazing teachers and the work they do in support of children’s wellbeing, learning and development in their early years.
It’s also our opportunity to say thank you. Our service is only the home away from home we dreamt of because of them. They are creative, patient, resilient, kind and loving. They turn up each day and are there for the children in their care without hesitation. They are continuously looking for ways to improve their knowledge so in turn the children at Poppi’s can benefit.
Thank you Poppi’s educators, your passion inspires us and we are beyond thankful to have you in our team, and we know the kids are too 💜

Book Week 2023 - Read, Grow, Inspire
A week of fun celebrating books, Australian authors, illustrators and literacy for children.
Poppi’s was buzzing with outfits inspired by the children’s favourite books, a full weeks menu based on books including wombat stew and possum magic high tea plus magical inviting activities for the children to let their imaginations grow and learn!
Definitely one of our favourite weeks of the year! 📚💙

Well what an amazing day yesterday was! Our very excited Inventors boarded a bus bound for the Royal National Park where we visited Bec and Uncle Shane at the Education Centre. The children enjoyed a beautiful story, looked at and got to touch some preserved animals and learnt about Dharawal artefacts. We took a stroll through the bush playing games and using magnifying glasses to search for insects along the way. After a picnic lunch we helped add our scraps to the compost and fed the worm farm before having a play and heading back home exhausted. Such a fantastic opportunity for the children to connect to earth and the beautiful environment around them. A huge thank to the Royal National Park Education Centre for providing us with such a special opportunity 🙌🏼

On Thursday our Inventors went to Bunnings!!
As part of our sustainability project, the children have been using herbs and vegetables from our garden to make kits such as focaccia with dukkah to sell to families. They then used this money to purchase their own herbs and vegetables to replant in the garden to begin the process again.
A massive thank you to Ken from Caringbah for showing our Inventors through the nursery and taking the time to tell us the best way to care for our plants and garden.
What a wonderful experience for all of us, we cannot wait to watch our garden grow, stay tuned to see what we make next!! 😆
