Student disco is happening on Friday!

Students come dance the night away!
Please audio tickets on QKR you can choose disco entry only or disco entry and a sausage sizzle for dinner.

There will be some treats tattoos soft drinks lolly bags available for purchase before and after the disco.🕺

Year 6 farewell fundraiser fete tomorrow!!!

Just a reminder that on Thursday 17th September Bps will be holding the annual Year 6 Fete fundraiser. Families are invited to attend from 12pm onwards to enjoy this fun day with our school community.

There are 16 exciting stalls for students to visit, play fun games and purchase treats. Students are encouraged to bring gold coins in or small change to pay for activities. Students will collect raffle tickets for participating or winning at a stall and then will go in the draw to win some exciting prizes.

Please be advised that students can wear mufti on the day.

We look forward to an exciting day of fun!

THURSDAY - Year 6 FETE DAY!

Its going to be spectactular!

To help our students get in the mood and celebrate for our year fete day day. Our Canteen will be offering a special menu on Thursday, 17 September.
Students can order a chicken souvlaki skewer or a lamb souvlaki skewer.
Or a chicken souvlaki wrap with their choice of salad and sauce.
Or a lamb souvlaki wrap with their choice of salad and sauce.
All Souvlaki orders will come with a frozen juice cup and a choice of drink.

Please place orders on QKR. BEFORE 1pm TUESDAY

Proceeds from these special lunches will be donated towards the year six farewell collection.

Going Faceless: A New Chapter for Our School’s Social Media

You might notice something a little different on our school social media pages over the coming weeks, and we wanted you to hear the why straight from us.

Our school is leading the way. We’re trialling a new approach to social media for the rest of the year, taking a proactive stand on protecting our students’ online safety. We’ll keep sharing what our students are learning and achieving, the wins, the projects, the everyday moments that make our school community special. But we will not be posting identifiable photos of children’s faces on our public social media pages.

Why the change? This follows new guidance from the e-Safety Commissioner about how AI tools are being used to misuse photos taken from school social media pages. We want our school to be known as a school that takes online safety seriously, not just for our students, but as an example for the whole community.

We’ll share event memories directly with families through our newsletter via our secure Schoolbytes portal. We ask that these photos aren’t used on personal social media platforms. Families who have selected ‘not for publish’ will still not appear in these photos. To update your permission, please contact the office.

A note of honesty: this is a trial, and like any new approach, we may not get it perfectly right every time as staff adjust. We appreciate your patience as we find our feet.

North Cronulla Nippers are currently taking registrations for the upcoming season starting in October.

Nippers is a fun way for children aged 5 to Under 14 to enjoy the beach in a safe environment. Our Nippers program is deisgned to increase your child’s confidence, knowledge and skills in the beach environment. Kids will take part in both sand and ocean activities gradually building their skills and confidence as they grow.

Calling for donations…

🎉 Year 6 Fete – White Elephant Stall

On Thursday 17th September, we will be holding our annual Year 6 Fete fundraiser! This year, we will be running a White Elephant Stall, where items can be purchased for just $1 or $2.

We would love it if families could donate any suitable second-hand toys, books, puzzles, games, etc. Please make sure all items are clean and in good working condition before donating.

Feel free to drop donations into the school office to be passed on to Miss Blewitt as soon as possible.
