Bear Cottage is an amazing place doing so much good for one of our children. Learn more about their incredible work.

Parents Annie and Mike’s lives were changed forever when their beautiful son Maxim was born with multiple complex medical conditions. Caring full-time for Maxie, as he’s affectionately known, comes with its challenges and when “palliative care” was mentioned, it filled Annie with fear.

Happy Mothers’ Day. It was so lovely celebrating with you all this week at our picnics. The children were so proud to share their work with you. We hope you love the gift they made.
We also spent time this week learning more about Ramadan and Eid as well as Anzac Day and Kodomo no hi (Children’s Day in Japan)

Thank you to everyone who attended our 61st Anniversary and RAP Launch on Saturday. The weather was beautiful and it was a wonderful celebration of our Preschool. The Smoking Ceremony and Welcome to Country performed by Uncle Les McLeod was so special and it was the perfect way to launch our Reconciliation Action Plan.

March is a month of festivals and celebrations and we have spent time learning about many of them. On International Womens Day We read stories about important women who have made a difference to our world. We did paper folding to celebrate Hina Matsuri. Neda taught us all about the Haft Seen table for Nowruz. We also learnt about St Patrick’s Day, Holi and of course Harmony Day.

We are turning 61 and would love to celebrate with us. Also we would love you to share any photos, stories or memories you have.

Our Wonderful Linda is retiring after 21 years of teaching at Jack and Jill. Her last day will be next Friday but we are hoping to organise a farewell event for her later in the year.

We are going to miss her very much, she has been an important part the lives of many children and their families.

The children have only been at preschool for a week but look at the beautiful artwork they have created to celebrate Lunar New Year. 2022 is the year of the Tiger.
