Children who develop emotional intelligence often do better emotionally and socially and have better health and fewer behavioural difficulties. Learn skills to assist your child in understanding and managing their emotions. Explore how to deal with frustrations and conflict and how to develop good social skills and positive behaviours.

Circle of Security is an evidence based attachment and relationship based early intervention parenting program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and their children aged 0 - 12 years. Last week was Wellbeing Week at St Patrick's. The week was centred around our school motto and value of FAITH. 🙏

Throughout the week, students, staff and parents were invited to participate in various activities that encouraged them to connect with, build upon and, and develop a deeper understanding of their own faith and the faith of others. These activities included:

🌿Wednesday: Parent Prayer Session
🌿Thursday: Year 6 Youth Ministry Day
🌿Friday: Peer Support K-6

On Friday we kicked off our first assembly with 5 Green showcasing all the wonderful things they learnt, discovered and saw from their Bathurst trip. Thank you for all your interesting facts and enthusiastic outback dance moves🚌🕺🦘

We also celebrated the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus through beautiful reflections and prayers ❤️🙏🏼

𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁 ✍🏼

During Term 1, Stage 2 learnt about different types of texts. One of these was 𝑃𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑢𝑎𝑠𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑊𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔. Stage 2 were challenged to create their own ‘ideal’ chocolate bar and convince Cadbury to turn them into real chocolate bars. Students drafted and published letters explaining their unique chocolate bar creations with incredible new flavours and colourful packaging designs.🍫🍭🍪🎨

At the end of Term 1 they sent their letters to the Honourable Guy Barnett - the Minister for Small Business, Trade and Consumer Affairs in Tasmania. They waited patiently with the hope that their new creations would inspire the people at Cadbury to produce their delectable ideas for the supermarket aisles! 🛒

Finally, on Monday 1st June, a response arrived. They were delighted to learn that their ideas sparked the Tasmanian Government to re-ignite the Chocolate Experience at the Cadbury Factory. The designs used as inspiration for a brand new “Build Your Own Bar Experience” at Cadbury, for visitors young and old to experience!! 😮
