📚 Preschool Excursion to Wentworthville Public School 🎒✨

Our Preschool children had such a wonderful morning yesterday visiting Wentworthville Public School today!

During our visit, the children explored the school quad and hall, where they had the opportunity to visit and engage with some of the tables set up by the Stage 3 students. They also enjoyed a special storytime with the school librarian 📖 and were very excited to visit a Kindergarten classroom to see what learning at “big school” looks like.

It was a lovely opportunity for the children to become familiar with a school environment, explore new spaces and build excitement and confidence as they prepare for their future transition to school. 💛

A big thank you to Wentworthville Public School for welcoming us and providing such a positive experience for our Preschool children!

Our little bookworms stole the show today! 📚✨

A big thank you to all of our families for joining us at our Annual Book Week Parade and for putting so much creativity and effort into the children’s costumes — they looked absolutely incredible! 🥹❤️

It was so special watching the children proudly parade, show off their favourite characters and celebrate the magic of stories together. 🌟

And the fun isn’t over yet… children are welcome to keep dressing up for the rest of Book Week! 📖🎭

Book Week, but make it educator edition 📚✨

Our Garfield educators absolutely understood the assignment today! From beloved storybook characters to colourful classics, the team brought the magic of “Symphony of Stories” to life for our children. 💫

We loved dressing up, sharing plenty of laughs, and creating a little extra Book Week magic around the centre. ❤️📖

🦷✨ My Smile Heroes Dental Visit! ✨🪥

On 5th August, we welcomed the wonderful team from My Smile heros🦸🦷 to Garfield Childcare! 🦸‍♀️🦷

Our children enjoyed a fun and engaging dental health presentation, learning all about brushing, healthy teeth and looking after their smiles. 😁 Children with family consent also had the opportunity to receive a dental check-up and clean right here at the centre!

A big thank you to My Smile Heroes for making dental care such a positive and comfortable experience for our little ones. 💙

💙🧸 Pyjama Week 2026 🧸💙

What an incredible week we’ve had celebrating Pyjama Week! Our children and educators loved dressing up in their favourite pyjamas, creating a warm, fun, and cosy atmosphere filled with laughter, learning, and community spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful families for supporting our Pyjama Week Fundraising Stall throughout the week. Together, we raised an amazing $735.65 for The Pyjama Foundation! 💙

🍜 Cooking Class with Chef Sherwina 🍜

What a wonderful afternoon with our Garfield families! 💛

Our families enjoyed watching Chef Sherwina demonstrate how to make delicious Hokkien Noodles, sharing her favourite tips and techniques along the way. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with one another, learn something new, and enjoy a freshly prepared meal together. They also tasted her infamous Banana Bread!

✨ Dream Big, Little Legends! 💙☁️

As part of National Pyjama Week, our OOSH children took some time to think about their futures by completing a “When I Grow Up” activity. 🌟

From doctors and teachers to athletes, artists, and everything in between, every child shared their unique dreams and aspirations. It was wonderful to see their imaginations, creativity, and confidence shine through as they drew their future careers.

🧸💙 Pyjama Week – Day 1! 💙🧸

What a fantastic start to Pyjama Week! Our Vacation Care children had so much fun running today’s fundraising stall, serving families with confidence, enthusiasm, and plenty of smiles. 🧁🍪☕🍋

This hands-on experience encouraged communication, teamwork, money handling, problem-solving, and social skills, while giving children the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause.
