Nursery STEAM fun 🌈🥛

Last week, our nursery children explored a simple skittles and milk experiment. The children watched with excitement as the colours slowly spread, changed and mixed together on the plate.

We heard lots of little “wow!” moments as the children observed what was happening, using their facial expressions, sounds and gentle touch to explore the experience further.

This beautiful early STEAM experience supported curiosity, observation, sensory exploration and early scientific thinking through play. ✨

Pamper Day Fun 🌿🥒✨

This morning, our toddlers enjoyed a special pamper day focused on wellbeing, relaxation, and self-care. The children explored the facial features of their bodies, discussing eyes, noses, mouths, ears, and the important roles they play in everyday life. They investigated different textures using soft and rough brushes, encouraging sensory exploration and expanding their descriptive language.

To create a calming spa-like experience, educators applied a natural yoghurt face mask and cucumber slices over the children’s eyes. The children also participated in mindful breathing exercises, practising slow, deep breaths to help them relax, regulate their emotions, and become more aware of their bodies and feelings.

Throughout the experience, the children developed self-help skills, communication, body awareness, and confidence while engaging in conversations about textures, sensations, emotions, and wellbeing.

Our Vacation Care children had a wonderful excursion on Wednesday 15th April to Central Gardens Merrylands 🌿

The day was filled with exploration and excitement as the children enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, including waterfalls, ducks and even kangaroos 🦆🦘

We shared a lovely picnic lunch together, followed by fun sports games and plenty of time on the playground equipment. It was a fantastic day of fresh air, movement and making memories 💚
