A special Father’s Day at St John XXIII! 💙

Today we celebrated our wonderful dads with our Father’s Day Liturgy and Jersey Day! 🏉

It was so special to welcome our dads into the College and share this meaningful morning together. We loved seeing our students proudly welcome their dads into their classrooms, showing them their learning, their work and everything they’ve been working so hard on. 📚✨

Thank you to all the dads, grandfathers and father figures who joined us and helped make today so special. We hope you enjoyed the morning as much as we did!

📚✨ BOOK WEEK 2026! ✨📚

Today we celebrated Book Week, and it was amazing to see the incredible costumes from our K–6 students! From beloved characters to creative and colourful costumes, our students truly brought their favourite books to life. 💫

At St John XXIII, we love celebrating the joy of reading and inspiring a lifelong love of books and stories.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the magic of reading!

🏆 Celebrating VET Excellence! 🎓

Last night, we were proud to celebrate six outstanding St John XXIII students at the 12th Annual Rotary Youth Vocational Education Awards.

The awards recognise the dedication and achievements of students and teachers in Vocational Education, and we are incredibly proud to see our students recognised for their commitment to their chosen VET pathways.

🐥 Our Kindergarten chicks are growing up! 🐥

Our little chicks are getting bigger and more curious every day! 💛 Our Kindergarten students absolutely love having them in the classroom and are enjoying the opportunity to watch them grow while learning all about how to care for them.

It’s been a wonderful hands-on learning experience for our little scientists! 🌱🔬🐣

📚✨ Mystery Readers have arrived! ✨📚

To celebrate Book Week, we welcomed some very special Mystery Readers into our Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 classrooms! 📖👀

Our students loved the excitement of discovering who was behind the mystery and settling in to enjoy some of their favourite stories together. From familiar favourites to new adventures, it was a wonderful way to celebrate the joy of reading and bring stories to life! 💛📚

♟️ PDSSSC Chess Gala Day! ♟️

It was fantastic to host the PDSSSC Chess Gala Day today at St John XXIII Catholic College! 🏆

Our chess players battled it out across the boards, putting their strategy, skill and concentration to the test as they competed for the title of winning team. 👏

What an amazing day of competition, sportsmanship and plenty of chess action! ♟️🎉 Congratulations to all our players who represented their schools so proudly!

It was fantastic to welcome Matt Cogin to St John XXIII Catholic College to speak with our Year 10 students about unlocking their potential and believing in what they can achieve. 💪

🔬🧪 The Great Science Mystery! 🕵️‍♀️

To celebrate National Science Week, our Year 7 students took on an interactive escape room challenge with a twist! 🔐

The greatest science mistakes, experiments and theories had mysteriously gone missing… and it was up to our students to follow the clues, solve the puzzles and uncover what happened! 🧠🔎

A fun, hands-on way to put their scientific thinking, teamwork and problem-solving skills to the test!

Lionheart Shield Day!

Today we had our Lionheart Shield Day, and it was fantastic to see our senior students stepping up to coach and support our Foundation students on the soccer field.

From skills and teamwork to plenty of encouragement and smiles, it was a wonderful example of our students looking out for one another and building a strong sense of community.

Bullying No Way Week at St John XXIII

This week, our College community has been coming together to recognise Bullying No Way Week, a time to stand up, speak out and remind one another that everyone deserves to feel safe, included and respected.

Through conversations, activities and shared experiences, our students have explored the power of kindness, the importance of speaking up and how small actions can make a big difference.

Together, we can create a community where there is no place for bullying.
