🎉 WE HAVE FUN TOO!🎉

The educators at Kiddie Academy Kellyville enjoying some well-deserved after-hours fun at Swing City!

Team outings are so important to us. They give us the opportunity to spend time together outside of our usual work environment, connect with one another, have a laugh and simply enjoy each other’s company, without the usual work-day pressures.

We’re incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful team, and moments like these remind us that while we love what we do, we love having fun together too!

🌈 CRAZY HAIR DAY! 💇‍♀️

Today we went a little crazy with our hair to help raise awareness and show our support for people living with cystic fibrosis (CF) as part of World CF Day!

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic, life-limiting condition that affects more than 3,600 people in Australia, including children and young people. While it may be an invisible condition, the daily challenges experienced by people living with CF are very real.

The children had so much fun getting creative with our crazy hairstyles today! We’re proud to use our day to help raise awareness and support the CF community.

On Friday, we celebrated Jersey Day by wearing our favourite sporting jerseys!
Jersey Day is an opportunity to have fun while starting an important conversation with our families and friends about organ and tissue donation.

Today, we would like to celebrate and wish all of our amazing educators a very Happy Educators Day!

Thank you for your dedication, passion and hard work in leading, guiding, nurturing and supporting our children each and every day. The love and care you show makes such a beautiful difference in the lives of the children and families we work with.

A huge thank you to Miss Rebecca, our Centre Director, and Miss Laylah, our Centre Admin, for going above and beyond to spoil us with beautiful gifts, delicious food and special treats!

📚BOOK WEEK📖

Last week, we celebrated Book Week! The children dressed up as their favourite book characters, shared stories and explored a range of fun activities inspired by books and storytelling.

Book Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the importance of reading and storytelling in early childhood. Sharing stories supports children’s language and communication, imagination, creativity and early literacy skills, while creating meaningful opportunities to connect, explore and learn together. ❤️📚

As an Early Childhood Education service, our commitment to keeping children safe online is incredibly important. While we cannot change what has been shared in the past, moving forward, we are committed to creating a safer online environment for children.

🧪SCIENCE WEEK🧪
Last week was Science Week, providing children with opportunities to explore and investigate the science concepts they encounter in their everyday lives. Educators encouraged children to think more deeply about cause and effect, ask questions, develop critical thinking skills and, of course, get a little messy while having fun and learning through hands-on experiences.

🗺️ Building Connections🫶🏻

Kiddie Academy is a smaller organisation, with our other services located across rural NSW. To strengthen connections between our Kiddie Academy communities, Kiddie Academy Kellyville has started a PenPal Program with our other services.

With educators, the children discussed what they would like to share with children at our other services. They drew pictures, created messages and wrote their own letters, sharing their ideas and experiences. Educators then brought everything together and posted our first PenPal letter to Mudgee, 174 km away.

We are so excited to receive a response from the children in Mudgee and continue building meaningful connections between our services. This experience provides children with opportunities to communicate, share their ideas, develop relationships and understand that they are part of a wider Kiddie Academy community.
