𧩠OPEN-ENDED PLAY π§©
At our service, we believe children learn best through open-ended exploration and play. Our environments are thoughtfully designed with intention and purpose, providing invitations to learn while allowing children the freedom to engage with resources in their own unique ways.
Loose parts, natural materials, and recycled items encourage creativity, imagination, problem-solving, and independent thinking. These open-ended resources can become anything a child envisions, supporting rich and meaningful learning experiences.
We often remind ourselves that βto a child, a box is never just a box.β Not every resource needs to be a toy or used for its intended purpose. When children are given the opportunity to think creatively and explore without limits, the possibilities for learning are endless. Reusing materials in multiple ways also supports our commitment to sustainability and caring for our environment. β»οΈβ¨

πΏ WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY πΏ
Last Friday, 5th of June, we celebrated World Environment Day. Embedded in our daily practice, the children engage with the natural environment, explore sustainable practices, and participate in meaningful discussions about caring for our world.
World Environment Day provides an opportunity to reflect on the importance of protecting our environment and appreciating the beauty of the world around us. Through hands-on experiences and everyday sustainable practices, children are developing an understanding of their role in caring for the environment now and into the future. ππ

πΆ Musical Exploration πΆ
Music is a big part of our everyday learning! Through music, children explore sounds, rhythm, movement, numbers, literacy, and cause & effect. Singing, dancing, and playing instruments help develop both gross and fine motor skills while encouraging creativity, confidence, and self-expression.
We love incorporating music into our daily routines and experiences β itβs such a fun and meaningful way for children to learn and grow! π΅β¨

π½οΈ Self-Serving π½οΈ
In our Wombats Room (3β5 years), mealtimes are a chance to build independence and confidence. Children are encouraged to self-serve their meals, making choices about how much they would like to eat while learning to reduce food waste π
This experience also supports fine motor development and strengthens childrenβs sense of agency, empowering them to take an active role in their daily routines π
