The Xmas roadshow of connection with old friends continues in the UK!
I met Rob and Marcela 37 years ago on a jungle trek through Venezuela.
Here we are again enjoying a great night out at Clapham Common with their 3 offspring David, Nico and Skye.

This sound familiar?
Patience is the key!🙏

Life is too short.
Grudges are a waste of perfect happiness.
Laugh when you can apologize when you should and let go of what you can’t change.
Love deeply and forgive quickly. Take chances.
Give everything and have no regrets.
Life is too short to be unhappy. You have to take the good with the bad, smile when you should, love what you got and always remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget.
Learn from your mistakes but never regret.
People change and things go wrong.
But always remember life goes on.
It’s worth tempering sometimes!

How would you rate your patience in life?

Evidence suggests impatience seems to be growing more and more common in our modern world.

So what’s fueling our lack of patience?

In one study 75% of all respondents believed their lack of patience was directly related to their growing dependence on digital technology, such as smartphones.

Technology seems to be conditioning us to expect everything to happen without any delay.

However, this dependency comes with a big health warning.

After the last 2 years no doubt many of us are struggling to stay mentally strong!

There’s good days and bad!

Yet rather than seek help to overcome those depressive feelings we try to push through hoping the next day will be better.

Many people believe that depression needs to be debilitating and cause significant problems in their life in order to seek help.

Some typically feel confused by their tumultuous feelings that they struggle to clearly identify their inner experience.

What they don’t realize is that some of the more subtle signs of this disorder are often the first indication that something is going on.

It’s an opportunity to tackle the problem early before things worsen.

Depressive symptoms can range from mild to severe and include:

* Sadness
* Loss of interest or pleasure in actives you used to enjoy
* Feelings of hopelessness, worthlessness, and pessimism (expecting only bad things to occur)
* Irritability
* Difficulty sleeping
* Changes in appetite
* Lack of energy
* Difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions

Depression is a serious mental health issue. Although symptoms can look different depending on the severity, it’s not uncommon to experience many of the feelings described above.

That said, if you’re experiencing more than a few symptoms of depression or are worried that your symptoms are worsening, it may be time to schedule an appointment with a mental health expert who can help.

Do you find yourself overthink your problems?

You might try to convince yourself that thinking longer and harder helps you. After all, you’re looking at a problem from every possible angle.

But, overanalyzing and obsessing actually becomes a barrier. Research shows thinking too much makes it tough to make decisions.

Do you sometimes find yourself plotting revenge against someone who has wronged you?

Revenge is a powerful emotional urge that triggers people into action.

It may feel good and justified to want to lash out, but there are problems with that mentality that will always hold true.

In reality, they’re more likely to just make things worse.

So if revenge isn’t the best option moving forward, what is?
