Today, the children at Sefton Childcare were excited to welcome a visit from our local firefighters. During their visit, the firefighters spoke with the children about the importance of fire safety and what they should do in the event of an emergency. They used pictures and visual aids to help the children better understand the information and make the learning experience engaging and meaningful.
The children also had the opportunity to practice important fire safety procedures, including the “Get low, go, go, go!” crawl and the “Stop, Drop and Roll” technique. These hands-on activities helped reinforce key safety messages in a fun and memorable way.
Afterwards, the children made their way outside where they were thrilled to each have a turn using the fire hose. They also enjoyed getting a close look at the fire truck and learning about some of the equipment firefighters use in their important work.
This was a fantastic learning experience for the children, providing them with valuable knowledge about fire safety while giving them the opportunity to interact with real-life community helpers. We would like to thank the firefighters for taking the time to visit and share their expertise with us.👩🚒🚒🧯
