🎶🥁 The Shelly Room at Little Lane Manly is currently exploring a Music and Movement Project! Today, the children showcased their musical talents and impressive sustainability skills by creating and playing instruments as part of their very own percussion band.
Through turn-taking, collaboration, and performing in front of their peers and educators, the children built confidence while expressing themselves through music. What a fantastic way to combine creativity, sustainability, and learning! 🎵✨

This National Reconciliation Week, we are learning about respect, inclusion, and the importance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. Through meaningful conversations and experiences, we support children in developing a sense of belonging and connection to their community and the world around them.

Our whole centre has been immersed in the joy of Simultaneous Story Time with everyone enjoying reading and listening to Luna Roo 🦘📚 a National event.
The children have loved participating in a range of fun learning experiences inspired by the story, including craft activities, practising scissor skills, and engaging in meaningful conversational experiences. It has been wonderful to see so much enthusiasm, creativity, and connection throughout the centre ✨

Here at Little Lane, child safety is always our top priority. All of our educators are CPR and first aid trained, and this week we completed a refresher course to keep our skills sharp and knowledge up to date. There were plenty of laughs along the way too, with our educators getting into some very convincing role play scenarios as ‘casualties’ while practising emergency responses 🤕🏥

A Fun Budget treat for our incredible team 🎬🍿
Little Lane treated our educators a movie and snacks as part of our fun budget! It’s one of the ways we say thank you for the care, energy, and effort they pour into their jobs educating little ones every single day 💛
As staff we truly appreciate our fun budget experiences

Fresh air, fresh food, and fresh learning!
Our Warriewood class headed out into the local community for a hands on excursion to Harris Farm, gathering ingredients like fresh bread, cheese, cucumbers, and juicy apples. Back in class, they turned their Ingredients into a delicious and healthy afternoon snack — all while connecting to their Healthy Bodies Project.
Learning has never tasted so good! 🥖🧀🥒🍏

Here at little lane, we’ve been learning about the meaning behind Anzac Day—a time to reflect, remember, and show gratitude for those who served and sacrificed.
Through hands-on experiences, the children explored these important ideas. From baking traditional ANZAC biscuits to creating thoughtful crafts, each activity helped bring the spirit of remembrance to life.
We’re so proud of their curiosity, respect, and the meaningful conversations that came from it all. Lest we forget ❤️
