After a big return last week, interfac is back again in week 3! You don’t have to be a pro to come along, just do it for the love of the game - whether that be AFL, or making friends in SASS. Do you like writing? Socialising? Good news! We’re starting a writing group 🥳

Pubs & Pubs is our new fortnightly writing group. Every second Monday, we’ll write (with the publications team) then head to the Royal (a pub). If you like writing anything, including fiction, poetry and nonfiction, and if you’d like to meet a friendly bunch of people, this could be the event for you!

Attendees will receive discounted food and drink at the Royal.

FAQ ⁉️

❓Do I need to have experience?
🅰️Nope! Everyone is welcome.

❓How will each session work?
🅰️We’ll start by discussing the fortnightly prompt (~20 min). Afterwards, we’ll write based on the prompt (~40 min). Then, we’ll share and receive feedback on our work (~1 hour). Finally, we’ll go to the Royal and relax!

❓Do I have to share my writing?
🅰️No, although we encourage you to! It’ll be a warm environment, and receiving critical feedback will be optional.

❓Will I be able to submit my writing to a publication?
🅰️Anything you write during Pubs & Pubs can be submitted to any publication, including SASS ones like Avenue (keep your eyes peeled for call-outs coming soon). Some of the team has experience with different publications, so you’ll be able to talk to them about submissions processes.

❓Should I attend?
🅰️Yes!
