Athena completed the Intro to Fashion & Sustainability course, brought to you by TAFE NSW & UTS. Now as the Sustainability and Projects Manager at M.J. Bale, she leads the charge transforming policies and practices.
Athena is also the founder of .s_agency and host of The Sustainability Exchange podcast, where she fosters discussions for a sustainable future.

Applications are now open for our 2024 offering of Intro to Fashion and Sustainability.
This course has been co-designed by renowned academics and industry partners from the UTS's Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Fashion + Textiles and TAFE NSW. It introduces the fundamentals of fashion sustainability and considers impacts of an ecological, social, cultural and economic nature.
By the end of the course, you will be fluent in the environmental impacts of materials and fashion production, human rights concerns within the supply chain and the need to establish a quadruple bottom line within fashion businesses (people, planet, profit and culture). You will also be introduced to the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), circular fashion design and digital sampling.
Whether you are a designer, product developer, merchandiser, retailer, fashion or technology educator, this course will give you the tools in establishing your future practice and to initiate changes needed for a sustainable fashion future.
