Join us for an evening webinar exploring the evidence behind ethics education, why it matters, and how we can make it accessible to more students.

🔹 Dr Geetanjali Basarkod – Senior Research Fellow, Australian Catholic University, and lead author of a recent study on the impact of ethics education.

🔹 Dr Tim Dean – Senior Philosopher at The Ethics Centre, author and former volunteer ethics teacher.

Do you know of any volunteering expos in your council? Get in touch with us now! We can support you set up a table at the expo ,because such events are excellent opportunities to network and spread awareness about our program.

Area manager Marbecc was at the Camden volunteering expo recently. She was ably supported by Picton Public School coordinator and teacher Karen. I mean, just look at the wealth of resources on their table!
We hear it was one of the most successful events Marbecc has been to, with heaps of inquiries, conversations and leads for two potential new programs!

Our Georges River regional manager Ima recently met Mel Hammond, long-serving ethics teacher- coordinator at Hallidays Point Public School, and praised her ongoing commitment to Primary Ethics.

Mel has volunteered in both roles for many years, continuing even after her son left primary school. The school’s dedicated ethics team supports around 160 students, and Ima is joining the team as a relief teacher to support the regional Primary Ethics program.

Thank you Mel and Ima, for your ongoing commitment to helping children in the Great Lakes area explore ethical questions and develop thoughtful, respectful perspectives.

A lovely visit to Goulburn West Public School a couple of weeks ago for Area Manager Marbecc Webb — celebrating volunteer milestones and spending time with some wonderful volunteers.

Dimity, Ethics Teacher at Goulburn West, has been volunteering with Primary Ethics for more than 10 years! She couldn’t make it to Sydney for our 10- and 15-year presentation event, so Marbecc was delighted to take her pin and certificate to her instead.

Shelly, coordinator and teacher at Goulburn West, has been with us for five years and does a fantastic job supporting the program and keeping things running smoothly at the school.

Mary-Louise, our coordinator at Ulladulla and Milton Public Schools and an ethics teacher at Milton, recently received her five-year pin and certificate.

She’s also been a wonderful advocate for Primary Ethics across the South Coast — from speaking on the radio and writing for a local publication to getting out into the community and helping spread the word about ethics education.

Thank you, Mary-Louise, for all the energy, enthusiasm and commitment you bring to Primary Ethics.
And a shoutout to Teigan, also at Milton, for presenting Mary-Louise with her award!

Coffee catch-up and a special farewell!
The Port Kembla Public School ethics team got together for an end-of-Term 3 coffee and to farewell Angie, who is heading off on maternity leave.
Wishing Angie all the very best for this exciting new chapter!

Coffee, conversation and celebration!

About half of the Summer Hill Public School ethics team caught up over coffee on the day of their lessons a couple of weeks ago — with lots of volunteering milestones to celebrate along the way.

It’s always lovely to see ethics teachers take a moment to connect, share stories and recognise the years of commitment that go into bringing ethics lessons to children each week.

A special moment for the Strathfield North Public School ethics team!
As part of the mid-September school assembly, members of the team were presented with their volunteering pins and certificates, with their contribution acknowledged by the P&C Secretary.
It was a lovely reminder to the wider community of the people who make ethics lessons possible — and of the important role these weekly conversations play in children’s learning.
